During the 1960s it was very common for larger schools to only dress their juniors and seniors on the varsity team, sophomores were often their own separate teams and would play a full schedule as a reserve or JV team. The “B” team was often the juniors and seniors not on the JV or reserve team.
The final game of the Glouster/Chauncey rivalry, Chauncey would consolidate into Athens City Schools. The series dated back to at least 1920 and was a mainstay on the Glouster/JT schedules for most seasons.
