Metadata Schema Set for Puppetry Collection

Class: LIS 60020 – Information Organization

Annotation:

This metadata schema set includes a custom application profile created for a puppetry collection. It contains Dublin Core elements, new elements tailored to the collection, clear definitions, value guidelines, and sample records. Special attention was given to consistency and clarity because catalogers rely on well structured metadata to ensure accurate description and user access.

I found that creating this schema helped me understand how metadata systems shape discovery and organization. I wanted to show that I can design descriptive elements, apply technical standards, and consider user needs when structuring metadata.
