My name is Trevyr Willey, and I am an emerging library and information professional with a focus on preservation, public access, community engagement, and the cultural value of comics and graphic storytelling. My work is shaped by a belief that information should be accessible, understandable, and meaningful to the people who seek it. I am especially interested in the ways libraries, archives, and museums support learning across a lifetime and how their services create clearer paths into knowledge for communities of all backgrounds.
Throughout my MLIS program I have explored health information literacy, preservation practices, metadata design, research methods, and information ecologies, along with museum studies and youth services. These areas have helped me understand the full landscape of information work and how professionals connect people with resources that matter to them. My projects reflect this range, from developing medical resource guides and preservation assessments to designing instructional tools like Comics Quest for young readers.
I am committed to ongoing learning and to building library services that encourage curiosity, strengthen community connections, and support equitable access. My goal is to bring thoughtful, user centered work to any library or cultural institution I serve and to help patrons feel confident in the information they encounter!
