Class: LIS 60617 – Information Literacy for Youth
Annotation:
This interactive tutorial introduces youth to comics and graphic novels while teaching basic information literacy concepts. It includes visual guidance, interactive activities, and clear explanations that help young learners navigate collections independently. Special attention was given to designing content that is welcoming to reluctant readers and accessible to different learning styles.
I found that creating this tutorial helped me understand how youth instruction requires engagement and thoughtful design. I wanted to show that I can build educational materials that help young patrons feel confident when exploring library resources.
