Class: LIS 60620 – Health Information Resources
Annotation:
This annotated bibliography is a guide to key medical information resources that support both clinical work and general health literacy. It includes evaluations of major databases, government resources, evidence based tools, and instructional materials that patrons rely on for accurate medical information. Special attention was given to authority and credibility, since inaccurate health information can have serious consequences. The bibliography shows that medical librarians work across many platforms and formats, and it models how to support users who need clear, trustworthy health materials.
I found that selecting and evaluating these sources helped me understand how foundational ethics and professional judgment shape daily work in health information environments. I wanted to show that I can guide users to high quality resources while also promoting safe and informed searching habits.
