"Magic" is a catch-all term for extraordinary powers utilized by the inhabitants of Syhelia. It comes in three forms, each granted to the mortal peoples of Syhelia by one of the Three Pantheons.
Divine Spark or Divine Magic, is supernatural power granted to priests of the 1st pantheon by the deity they serve. Divine Spark is generally only given to ordained members of a god's priesthood who have learned the proper prayers, techniques, and chants- not layman worshippers. Compared to the other forms of magic, Divine Spark is unique in that it draws not from the wielder's power, but rather "borrows" itfrom their deity. This means divine casters do not have to worry about overexerting themselves like users of Kurzbult and the Arcane magics, however, their power is limited to the concepts their respective god holds domain over. For example, Volt, as the master of gravity, gives his priests the power to manipulate it. Divine casters must also live and act by their deity's teachings, or risk having their calls for aid go unanswered.
Kurzbult (Fighting Spirit) is the manifestation of a person's spirit, will, and ambition. Knowledge of it was given to the Titans by the trickster deity Sylvanus, and the power it gave them led to their rebellion. After The One Above All laid down his Celestial Peace, Kanyeyama, leader of the Titans and greatest of all warriors, left the secrets of mastering one's Kurzbult in the labyrinth he constructed for the mortals of Syhelia to uncover. Kurzbult enhances a person's physical abilities with the power of their spirit, it's what allows a swordswoman to cut clean through a massive boulder, or a warrior to get up and shake off a blow that should have killed him. One's potential for Kurzbult is determined by willpower, drive, and conviction. The stronger these are, the greater the feats one is capable of performing. Unlike the other magics, people usually do not intentionally become Kurzbult users- all fighters, warriors, brawlers, soldiers, and martial artists above a certain threshold of mastery use it unconsciously. Over time, some will recognize that their punches and sword slashes are just a bit stronger or faster than they should be. These warriors learn to consciously and willfully control their Kurzbult, empowering their bodies and weapons with even more potency.
Arcane Channeling is the most flexible, and some would say, most powerful, magic. Users "channel" the raw energies of creation by turning their bodies and souls into conduits, then invoke various incantations, gestures, and rituals to give that energy form and produce the desired effect. The number of "spells" is virtually infinite, with new ones invented each year. They are organized into several "schools" based on their nature and effects. Arcane Channeling was discovered by The Dragons, who in keeping with their innate desire to seek out and spread knowledge, began to share it with mortals. Today Arcane Channeling is practiced by sorcerers, wizards, mages, seers, and alchemists across Syhelia.
