Our next social will be on Saturday, July 13 with a start time of roughly 5:00pm. Dinner will begin directly following the Tottori JALT language teaching workshops from 2:00 to 4:00 that same day at Tottori University (Koho Center, 2F) in Tottori City. Please join us for this social event. We expect the event to end at roughly 7:00pm. You are free to come/leave whenever is best for you. We plan to meet after the event at 大戸屋 (O-toya) restaurant in Tottori-city.
Please save the date and join us for this special event. You couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to meet and network with your fellow Tottori educators, and do meaningful professional development at the same time.

Recent Tottori JALT Social Events:
5月16日(日)17時~ (Sunday, May 16, 2019 from 5:00pm)
We had a social-networking event after Jason Lowe's (of Fukuyama University and President of Okayama JALT) presentation on Sunday, May 26, 2019.
Directly following his Tottori JALT language teaching workshop from 2:00pm at Tottori University (Koho Center, 2F), we had dinner together with the speaker. About 4 people joined us for this event. We shared teaching ideas, got to know each other better, talked with the presenter, and strengthened our ties with Okayama JALT. The start time was 5:00pm and we ended at about 6:30pm. We met at ヴィ・ド・フランス 鳥取店 (VIE DE FRANCE) bakery/coffee shop in Tottori Station.
Thank you, Jason Lowes, for a wonderful afternoon of inspiration! We look forward to coming to present at Okayama JALT soon.

We had a social-networking event after Ann Mayeda's (of Konan Women's University) presentation on Sunday, March 3, 2019. Directly following her Tottori JALT language teaching workshop from 2:00pm at Tottori University (Koho Center, 2F), we had dinner together with the speaker. About 8 people joined us for this event. We shared teaching ideas, got to know each other better, talked with the presenter, and discussed Tottori JALT business. The start time was 5:30pm and we ended at about 7:00pm, but many left whenever was best for them. We met at 大戸屋 (O-toya) restaurant in Tottori-city.

We had a social-networking event after Dr. Dat Bao's (of Monash University in Australia) presentation on Friday, November 30. Dinner directly following his Tottori JALT language teaching workshop from 7:00pm at Tottori University (Koho Center, 2F) that same day. About 12 people joined us for this event. We shared teaching ideas, got to know each other better, talked with the presenter, and discussed Tottori JALT business. The start time was 9:00pm and we ended at about 10:30pm, but many left whenever was best for them. We met at 大戸屋 (O-toya) restaurant in Tottori-city.

JALT’s First Kurayoshi Social Event! 初パーティ in 倉吉 !

We had a social-networking POTLUCK PARTY on Saturday, October 6 with a starting time of 5:00pm in KURAYOSHI at the Hoki Shiawase No Sato directly following the Tottori JALT language teaching workshop on October 6 (Saturday) from 2:00pm to 4:30pm at Hoki Shiawase No Sato in KURAYOSHI (Central Tottori Prefecture). Many joined us for this POTLUCK PARTY social event (about 20 people). This very enjoyable networking and social event ended at 6:30pm, but many left whenever was best for them.

Social BBQ and Camp on May 26 (Saturday):
On Saturday, May 26 we hosted a BBQ and Camp Sosial Event at the FREE campground near Kodomo-no-Kuni the night before the JALT Junior in Tottori language teaching workshops that took place on May 27 (Sunday) from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Tottori University (Koho Center, 2F). Many join us for this Social BBQ and Camp on Saturday, May 26 from 6:00pm. The dinner social went late into the night and we had a wonderful time. Thank you to all those who attended the event.

We met at 大戸屋 (O-toya) restaurant in Tottori-city. We shared teaching ideas, got to know each other better, and discussed Tottori JALT business. The start time was 5:30pm and we ended at about 8:00pm.

We had a social event after Christopher Hollis (of the Hokuei Board of Education) and Shirley Leane's (of Tottori University) language teaching workshops on January 28 (Sunday) from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Tottori University. We met at 大戸屋 (O-toya) restaurant in Tottori-city and talked JALT business, socialized and the collaborated on language teaching ideas. The former-president (Shirley Leane of Tottori University), the new president (Christopher Hollis of the Hokuei Board of Education) and Kyle Perry (our new Publicity Officer) stayed especially late discussing ideas on how to improve Tottori JALT publicity. The start time was 5:00pm and we ended at about 7:30pm

We had a social event after Jason Gold's (of Kwansei Gakuin University and the JALT Brain SIG) language teaching presentation on Sunday, December 3 at 大戸屋 (O-toya) restaurant in Tottori-city. We shared teaching ideas, got to know each other better, and discussed Tottori JALT business. The former-president (Shirley Leane of Tottori University) and the new president (Christopher Hollis of the Hokuei Board of Education) stayed especially late discussing the duties of the JALT presidency and publications. The start time was 5pm and we ended at about 8:30pm.

We shared teaching ideas, got to know each other better, and discussed Tottori JALT business. The start time was 8:20pm and we ended at about 9:30pm.

We shared teaching ideas, got to know each other better, and discussed Tottori JALT business. The start time was 5pm and we ended at about 7:00pm.

We talked with Caroline Lloyd's (of Hiroshima YMCA) after her presentation on Sunday, April 23. We had an early dinner social at 大戸屋 (O-toya) restaurant in Tottori-city. We shared a lot about teaching children at the Hiroshima YMCA program and heard advice about becoming a national officer for JALT. The start time was 5pm and we ended at about 6:30pm.
