概要 ①: ボードゲームのひとつである、「宝探しゲーム」を使ったアクティビ ティを行います。その導入として、方向を示す表現や順序数の表し方 について学ぶ、別のアクティビティも準備しており、学習者が楽しみ ながら語彙などを習得できることを目指しています。

Abstract ①: The main activity is to play a treasure hunt board game. While playing the game, participants will learn directions, ordinal numbers, and the names of the treasures. As an introduction before the game, we will do some activities related to directions and ordinal numbers. What treasure will you get?

概要 ②: 学習者が楽しく学ぶことを目的とした 3 種類のアクティビティを用意し ています。１つ目は、「アルファベットソング」を楽しく一緒に歌う ことで、発音の学習に取り組むとともに、学習者が積極的に参加でき る雰囲気を作ります。次に、世界的に子供たちに親しまれている犬を 主人公にしたシリーズの絵本「Where’s spot?」の読み聞かせをします。 最後に、動物の名前を使ったビンゴゲームをすることで楽しみながら 語彙を学ぶことができる構成となっています。

Abstract ②: Let's enjoy three English activities together!

1) Song: “The Alphabet Song” (Japanese version)

2) Story Telling: “Where's Spot?”

3) Bingo Game: “Animal Bingo”

概要 ③: 子供にとってなじみ深い「かるた」を使ったアクティビティを行いま す。A から Z のアルファベットが書かれたかるたを使い、それぞれの文 字で始まる単語を探すかるたゲームを通して、学習者同士が積極的に 関わり合いながら、文字、発音、語彙などを総合的に学ぶことができ るアクティビティを提供します。

Abstract ③: We will play Karuta. All cards will have one picture and one letter from A to Z. One person will read the sentence that expresses one letter, and the others will try to get a card with that letter. You can win if you can get the most cards!

講師の略歴: Presenter’s Bio Data:

① 講師: 柿坂 正美 氏 大手こども英会話教室での講師経験を経て、現在外国語活動 支援員として、鳥取市の小学校２校に勤務。５．６年生担 当。小学校英語指導者資格保持。

Presenter 1: Ms. Naomi Kakisaka has worked at several elementary schools throughout Tottori prefecture as an English teacher. She is currently responsible for grades 5 and 6 at two elementary schools in Tottori City.

② 講師: 赤星 順子 氏 鳥取市小学校 外国語活動支援員を約１０年務める。現在、鳥 取市内４つの小学校で３年生から６年生までの外国語活動に 関わっている。

Presenter 2: Ms. Junko Akaboshi has been an English Teacher at elementary schools in Tottori City for nearly 10 years, focusing on grades 3 through 6.

③ 講師: 田中 大一 氏 イッポラボ合同会社、代表。日本の政府開発援助（ＯＤＡ） プロジェクトマネジメント業務からスタートし、世界中の子 供の「学び」を総合的にサポートすることを目標とし、現在 子供向け玩具のデザインや販売、英語でのワークショップ開 催の他、インドやガーナなど海外の子供に学習道具を無償提 供するなどの活動を行っている。

Presenter 3: Mr. Taichi Tanaka is a Representative of Ippo-Lab, LLC. He is currently designing and selling toys for children, and holding workshops in English. Other activities include providing free educational tools to children overseas in places such as India and Ghana.

Abstract 1: Encouraging Learner Agency through Inclusion

インクルーシブ教育を通して学習者主体の学びを支援するために

Japan is a multiethnic society largely in denial about its diversity. This denial can be illustrated throughout its textbooks and children’s picture books where someone “Japanese” is nearly always depicted with black hair and “foreigners” are most often represented with white skin and blue eyes. However, this does not represent the reality of modern Japan. There are a growing number of minority and mixed-race children who are in fact Japanese but are not represented in the materials used in schools. When students (and teachers) realize the effects of seeing only stereotypical people portrayed in lesson materials, they begin to empathize with the underrepresented children. Proper representation of all students in the materials we use in our classrooms can help eradicate discrimination, eliminate stereotypes, and reduce bullying. In this workshop, we will discuss ways to encourage majority students to accept and respect others who may be different, apply critical thinking skills to issues related to cultural diversity/inclusion, and become advocates for social justice. We will also discuss ways to encourage minority students to affirm themselves as unique individuals with value. Then, I will give advice on how to adapt materials and encourage learner agency by getting students to activity adapt stereotypical materials into inclusive materials that more properly represent modern, diverse Japan. I will conclude with a demonstration lesson where my students adapted stereotypical lesson materials and changed them into diversity-inclusive materials for teaching young learners. In this way, they became advocates for learner agency by taking charge of cultural imagery.

演題: ～コロナウイルス影響下での語学教育について～

Event Abstract: How has your classroom been during the COVID-19 pandemic?

This month’s meeting will be held as an online group discussion. The theme of the discussion will be an examination of the methods and challenges of teaching language students during the pandemic. Participants will exchange ideas in two group chats before returning to an all-member session to share what they have talked about.

The idea of this month’s meeting is to enable a relaxed atmosphere for members and guests to share their experiences and gain insights on how to make the most of their language instruction situations going forward. In addition to the discussion topic, participants are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to get to know other attendees and socialize.

概要: コロナウイルスによる影響が大きい日々ですが、皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか？

この度、鳥取JALTでは、オンラインによるグループディスカッションイベントを開催致します。コロナウイルスによる影響下で、世界、日本、そして鳥取の語学教育も大きな打撃を受けていますが、その状況の中で役立つアイディアを共有し、それぞれの教育に役立てていければと思います。具体的には、２つのグループに分かれ、参加者同士、それぞれの経験、教授法、評価、そしてオンラインレッスンでのポイントなどを話し合い、その後全体でアイディアを共有したいと思います。必ずしも発言をする必要はありません。他者のアイディアを聞くことで参考になることもあると思います。リラックスした雰囲気の中、これからの語学教育について考えを共有し合える機会になればと思っています。是非ご参加くださいませ。

出席料・Cost: JALT会員は無料、非会員は200円、学生割引は100円。
