You'll register for all 3 sessions in Part 2, but don't have to attend all of them. 

Educators will receive up to 1.5 clock hours per session, based on the actual time they spend in each synchronous session.

Video recordings will be available afterwards, but not eligible for clock hours.

What will you learn & who is it for? You'll definitely hear about the "SIFT method" from the guy who created it, along with Mike's latest ideas about media literacy, many of which can be found in his new book, Verified: How to think straight, get duped less, and make better decisions about what to believe online.

T These activities were mainly designed for teens/secondary students

S & P Some activities can be used in a public library setting, but most are designed for a school setting

About presenter Mike Caulfield

Mike Caulfield is a research scientist at the UW Center for an Informed Public. He leads the CIP’s rapid-response research program. He developed the SIFT method for fact-checking that has been used in more than a hundred universities and high schools in the U.S. and Canada and has worked with various organizations on digital literacy initiatives to combat mis- and disinformation.
