You'll register for all 3 sessions in Part 2, but don't have to attend all of them. 

Educators will receive up to 1.5 clock hours per session, based on the actual time they spend in each synchronous session.

Video recordings will be available afterwards, but not eligible for clock hours.

What will you learn & who is it for? You'll learn about many free resources available from CTRL-F that can be used in classrooms or libraries, including a full media literacy curriculum, additional activities, and a bank of media messages to use as examples when teaching.

C & T Some activities can be used with older children/elementary students, but most are designed for teens/secondary students

S & P Some activities can be used in a public library setting, but most are designed for a school setting

About presenter Ken Boyd

Ken Boyd is the Director of Education at CIVIX, a Canadian nonprofit committed to strengthening democracy through civic education that has developed a media literacy curriculum and received many awards. Ken has written articles on a wide range of contemporary issues for numerous websites, including Psyche and the Institute of Art and Ideas. He holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Toronto.
