You'll register for all 8 sessions in Part 1, but don't have to attend all of them. 

Educators will receive up to 1.5 clock hours per session, based on the actual time they spend in each synchronous session.

Video recordings will be available afterwards, but not eligible for clock hours.

What will you learn & who is it for? 

This series of three sessions is a book study of Faith's book, Media Literacy for Young Children. Each session will start with a 30-minute discussion of the assigned chapters, then conclude with a 60-minute question-and-answer time with Faith.

C The target audience of this book is folks who work with young children, but folks who work with older students may also benefit from learning about the ideas and activities

S & P  The ideas and activities are relevant for anyone who works with young children, in either a school setting or a public library setting

About presenter Faith Rogow:

Dr. Faith Rogow is a recognized leader in the field of Media Literacy. In addition to offering professional development sessions, she co-founded the National Association for Media Literacy Education and the Journal for Media Literacy Education and has served as a consultant to PBS, developing discussion guides and lesson plans. She is the author of several publications, including Media Literacy for Young Children: Teaching Beyond the Screen Time Debates.
