School counselors should strive to not be set in specific ways of thinking. Curiosity invites new and creative ways to support students and counselors themselves in the methods they use to serve students. I did not realize how important curiosity was when I first started my studies. Curiosity invites learning and growth, rather than being set in one or two methods of counseling. There is always room for professional growth through curiosity as a counselor, as well as helping students use curiosity to understand their potential.
