Silk is produced in Yashdar and along the Copper Coast alike; cotton is found in Temacan and Einir. The spinning wheel is a Yashdari invention, one that has spread in recent centuries to Gyyken, Einir, and Oma, although it is still some way from widespread adoption in Temacan, Suru, and Sayintha.
The Northern Hemisphere has a great deal of investment in the understanding of the heavens, spurred on by their chief religion for a time. However, Arumandjee in the Southern Hemisphere has likewise made a number of discoveries and observations, including the keeping of meticulous records of comets, supernovas, and the passage of the planets for centuries.
Both the Warruka lands and the Dhunir have a long history of medicine, one that permits them not only to diagnose but also recognize similarities between diseases for treatment. More primitive medical treatments among the Phaeroians and Qariyyu are still present, although both leave quite a bit to be desired for the patient.
Curiously, the wheel is not a universal technology. It has origins in Yashdar, some six thousand years ago, and more recently in Nukambi, a mere four hundred years ago.
