In the frozen north of the world, on the continent that the Cerementi call Sinyi, there is a single large patch of…well, perhaps not green, but at least not the cold white of near-perpetual snow and ice. This is Yiyande, a volcanic archipelago stretching forth across the Bay of Palena like columns around a Roman garden. Here live the Yanik, small but scrappy; they are unique among humans in that they have maintained something of a symbiosis with the dragons who live in those cold lands, relying on them for warmth and for the plants that use their dung as fertilizer to grow…and the other animals who eat those plants.
Shotvn is notable for its relative size, and for its bubbling volcanic springs—a good place for islanders from the whole region to meet.
