Standard 9 is all about Professional Learning and Ethical Practice. As a part of this, educators should be focused on following educational law (both state and federal) while providing students with an adequete education. This document outlines FAPE, IDEA, LRE, and FERPA, educational laws, while also discussing how they will impact my future classroom instructional activities.
Because INTASC standard 9 is all about ethical actions as an educator, it's important to extend that to how one acts outside of the classroom. It's important that educators maintain their personal lives, but that comes with the caveat that they should be careful with sharing that online on platforms students can see. Understanding vigilance and proper social media use online as an educator is important.
