Teaching at Non-governmental Organisations(NGOs)

Teaching is rewarding, since in doing so you are empowering the citizens of tomorrow. Given how important education is for human development and empowerment, it is unfortunate that many young people and children find themselves in the fringes of our education system. By the time many of them receive any assistance, they have already fallen off the cracks, and ended up outside our education system. Thankfully many NGOs operate with the mandate of reaching out to young people who find themselves in such unfortunate situations. Volunteering at such organizations can be a wonderful way to make a difference. If you wish to volunteer in such NGOs, there exist opportunities for you. Usually there is a shortage of people who are willing to teach these young people who are outside our system in one way of the other. If you have a passion to teach and empower, perhaps you could fill in the lacuna?

The list of such organizations I am providing here is merely illustrative, and not exhaustive. Yellow Pages or Google should help you find an NGO that operates in your neighborhood. Together we can make a difference. Thanks in advance for extending a helping hand!
