At 18 years old, I began learning the basics of KineMaster, a mobile video editing software. Although I started with simple editing techniques, it gave me my first practical exposure to video production and visual storytelling.
Through self-learning and experimentation, I learned how to:
✂️ Trim and cut video clips
🎞️ Arrange clips into a sequence
📝 Add text, captions, and titles
🎵 Add and synchronise background music and audio
🎚️ Adjust basic audio levels
✨ Apply simple transitions and effects
🖼️ Add images and visual elements
🎥 Understand basic video pacing and composition
📱 Export and prepare videos for sharing
More importantly, learning KineMaster taught me that creating a video is more than simply putting clips together. The order of scenes, timing of cuts, music, text, and visual effects can completely change how an audience experiences the content.
It became an early step in developing my interest in content creation, animation, storytelling, and digital media.
I started with simple tools, but those simple tools taught me how to turn an idea into something people could see.
