🌍🌾 The harvest is now! Workers rise, Bible in hand 📖, hearts on fire 🔥. Christ compels us: pray, go, send 🙏👣—until every nation hears, every people know, and every soul is saved ❤️.
The phrase “To the Ends of the Earth” evokes a powerful sense of purpose—carrying the gospel to the farthest reaches of the globe. It captures the heart of Christ’s vision: that His message of hope and salvation would reach every person, every nation, and every place.
As followers of Jesus, we are not given a suggestion—we are commissioned—to make a global impact and proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom to everyone, everywhere.
The Gospel is not reserved for a chosen few; it is for all people, across all cultures and continents. It is a message of hope, restoration, and redemption. It has the power to transform lives and fulfill God’s plan for humanity.
So let us rise to this calling—motivated, inspired, and obedient—ready to share the life-changing message of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
The Great Commission, found in Matthew 28:19–20, is nothing less than the mission of God—Missio Dei. It’s not merely a suggestion; it’s the unmistakable mandate of Christ to His Church: “Go and make disciples of all nations.” This is the heartbeat of our faith and the driving force behind all true ministry. It is the clearest, most compelling directive ever given by our Savior. There is no Plan B. This is our assignment.
This mission is personal. It’s your mission. It’s my mission. It’s the mission of the Church. From Genesis to Revelation, we see God’s redemptive purpose unfolding—calling, sending, restoring. Every time you read the words nations, earth, or world in Scripture, think missions.
Jesus Himself expressed the urgency of this global call:
📖 “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”
Are you praying for laborers? Are you asking God to send you? The very heartbeat of God is the global harvest of souls. That’s why He gave us our marching orders. The Great Commission is not an idea to consider—it’s a command to obey. Jesus said, “GO!”
So, what are you waiting for? A special invitation? You already have one. The moment you were saved, you were called. Jesus not only invites you to engage in world missions—He compels you.
Matthew 28:19–20 is often called “the Great Commission”—and rightly so. In it, Jesus gives His followers their marching orders: make disciples of all nations. But what’s truly remarkable is that every one of the four Gospel writers captures this moment in their own way. Each one felt compelled to include it, as if to say, “Don’t miss this. This is what it’s all about.”
Whether it’s Matthew’s call to baptize and teach, Mark’s urgency to preach to every creature, Luke’s emphasis on repentance and the power of the Spirit, or John’s picture of the risen Christ breathing peace and purpose—the message is clear: Go. Tell. Make disciples.
And just in case we missed it, Luke opens the book of Acts with a final echo from Jesus Himself:
📖 “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses… to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8).
✨🌍 "Missio Dei" — God's mission, our call. 🙌✝️
The light spreading across the globe 🌎💡 represents our action in sharing the Gospel 📖🕊️. We’re part of His ongoing mission 🔥 to bring light to all nations 🌟🌐.
Missio Dei is Latin for “the mission of God.” It speaks of God’s active involvement in the world—seeking, saving, and reconciling lost humanity to Himself. It’s His mission, not ours. We are simply invited into it.
This mission isn’t limited to church buildings or Christian gatherings. It’s for every people, every language, every nation. As Paul proclaimed:
📖 “God’s salvation has been sent to the Gentiles (the nations), and they will listen!” (Acts 28:28).
Jesus spent three and a half years preparing His disciples for global impact. Once trained, He sent them into “all the world” to preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. They were to reproduce themselves by making global disciples, who would then make disciples in turn. That’s still the model.
🗣️ “The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed.” —Hudson Taylor, missionary to China for 51 years
🗣️ “The mark of a great church is not its seating capacity, but its sending capacity.” —Mike Stachura, missiologist and former director of World Evangelical Alliance
🗣️ "To know the will of God, we need an open Bible and an open map." —William Carey, missionary to India
Missio Dei is more than a phrase—it’s a call to action—it’s the very heartbeat of God, still pulsing through His Church today. 🌍✝️ He is moving, calling, and sending, and we are His chosen vessels. The world is waiting, the harvest is ready 🌾, and heaven is counting on our obedience. Let us embrace this sacred invitation with boldness, urgency, and joy—taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth until every tribe, tongue, and nation hears the name of Jesus. 🙌🕊️
If your church isn’t actively supporting world missions, it’s time to find one that is.
Missio Dei—the mission of God—is not a side program. It is the very heartbeat of the Church. When Jesus said, “Go,” He wasn’t making a suggestion. He was issuing a command.
Consider these sobering words from church leaders who understood the urgency of the Great Commission:
🗣️ “The mission of the church is missions.”
—Oswald J. Smith
🗣️ "A church that is not a missionary church is contradicting itself and quenching the Spirit.”
—Lausanne Covenant
🗣️ “Any church that is not seriously involved in helping fulfill the Great Commission has forfeited its biblical right to exist.”
—Oswald J. Smith
🗣️ “Missions is not the ‘ministry of choice’ for a few hyperactive Christians in the church. Missions is the purpose of the church.”
—Oswald J. Smith
🗣️ “The Church must send or the church will end.”
—Mendell Taylor
Pastors, hear this:
Stop thinking of your church as a local church with a missions program.
Start seeing it as a global church with a missions purpose.
What is the 10/40 Window? It's not a window you look through—it's a window we pray through, go through, and give through. It’s a strategic, spiritual war zone on the global map.
This "window" stretches across the eastern hemisphere from 10 to 40 degrees north latitude, including North Africa, the Middle East, and much of Asia—a densely populated belt of humanity where the majority of unreached people groups live. We're talking over 5.27 billion people, with over 3 billion who’ve never heard the Gospel. Most of the world’s poorest of the poor live here. So do the least evangelized and least reached.
This region is also home to the strongholds of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and atheistic Communism. Spiritual darkness reigns in many of these nations. Missionaries are often banned. Bibles are forbidden. Believers are persecuted. Preaching is illegal. But the light of Christ still shines—even here. And it shines through radio waves, satellite TV, digital apps, shortwave broadcasts, underground churches, and courageous believers risking everything. The Lord is moving—calling, sending, and saving in miraculous ways.
📖 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
The 10/40 Window represents more than geography. It represents the deepest longing of God's heart—to bring the unreached into relationship with Him.
If Jesus gave His life for the world, how can we ignore over 3 billion souls who have yet to hear His name even once?
📖 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
But how can they call unless they believe?
How can they believe unless they hear?
And how will they hear unless someone is sent?
This is the question of the ages, posed by Paul in Romans 10:14–15. And it's still echoing across the 10/40 Window today.
*️⃣🗺️ People Groups of the World Map, Courtesy of the Joshua Project 🌍✝️
Here’s why this region is vital:
97% of the unreached people groups live here.
Less than 10% of the world’s missionary force is working there.
Less than 1 penny of every missions dollar goes to reach these souls.
If we’re serious about the Great Commission, we must be serious about the 10/40 Window. It’s not enough to send missionaries to places where the Gospel is already strong. We must prioritize the unreached.
🗣️ “Our mission is clear: to carry Christ’s name where it’s never been heard, so those in darkness may finally see His light.” —based on Romans 15:20–21
The 10/40 Window is not just a manmade mission term—it reflects God’s target zone for revival and redemption. These are the areas where the enemy has dug in deep… but they are also the very places where God is calling His Church to advance.
🗣️ “We are not called to be comfortable. We are called to be obedient.” —Brother Andrew, author of God’s Smuggler
Make no mistake: this window is God’s battleground for the souls of men. And we are His army—called, empowered, and sent.
Let your heart break for what breaks His.
Let your eyes see what He sees.
Let your prayers, your giving, your going—aim toward this window.
It’s time to look again through the 10/40 Window… and see the harvest that awaits.
🌍🔥 Missio Dei fuels God's heartbeat for the world. 💓✝️
His mission is the Great Commission 🌎🕊️—echoing His longing to reach the lost 🙏❤️.🌉 This bridge symbolizes His desire to connect two seemingly distant places 🌟 , bridging the gap between God and humanity ✝️🤝, and uniting diverse cultures 🌐.
Missions is not a program of the church. It’s the very pulse of God’s heart. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture tells one story: a global God with a global plan to redeem all nations to Himself.
📖 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
The Bible doesn’t whisper missions—it shouts it. God’s mission is the central narrative of Scripture:
In Genesis 12, God calls Abraham and promises to bless all nations through his seed.
In Psalm 96:3, we’re told: “Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.”
In Isaiah 49:6, God says: “It is too small a thing… to restore the tribes of Jacob… I will also make you a light to the Gentiles.”
Jesus echoes this in Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world… and then the end will come.”
From the Garden of Eden to the Throne Room of Heaven in Revelation, missions is the melody playing in the background of every chapter.
God is not a tribal deity. He’s not American. He’s not confined to cathedrals, denominations, or borders.
📖 “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance.”
The Lord’s eyes scan the earth for those who will say, “Here am I. Send me!” —Isaiah 6:8
He’s searching for laborers, not just churchgoers. He wants people who burn for the lost—those who see beyond their street, their culture, their comfort zone—and into the heart of God for the nations.
Christ left His home. He crossed cultures. He entered enemy territory. He emptied Himself. He gave His life—not just for one group, but for every tribe, tongue, and nation.
📖 “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
Missions is not optional—it’s the model of our Messiah.
If we’re to follow Christ, we must follow Him into the harvest.
The Great Commission wasn’t a suggestion. It wasn’t a parting prayer. It was a divine command—to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).
And yet, over 3 billion people are still waiting to hear.
This isn’t just a statistic. This is a crisis.
What does that say about our priorities? Our giving? Our prayers? Our obedience?
We sing “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world…”
But are we sending anyone to tell them?
We cry over revivals in our churches…
But what about the billions who’ve never even heard His name?
And if God’s heartbeat is for the lost…
Shouldn’t ours be as well?
The last words of Jesus were not “Sit and wait.”
They were “Go and tell.”
And yet… the task remains unfinished.
📖 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
There are over 3 billion people in the world today who are unreached—meaning they have no church, no Bible, and no Christian witness among them.
Let that sink in.
That’s 1 in 3 humans on this planet—living and dying without ever hearing the name of Jesus.
They’re not rejecting the Gospel…
They’ve never even heard it.
🌍🕯️ The 10/40 Window, a region often described as spiritually dark 🌑, is where the need for the life-giving message of the Gospel ✝️📖 is most acute.
🌳✨ This Tree of Life 🌿 reminds us that God’s love ❤️ and grace 🙌 can penetrate even the most challenging areas of the world 🌎. 🔥🕊️ Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the Gospel can take root 🌱 in the hearts of people ❤️, transforming lives 🌟 and building vibrant communities of faith ⛪🤝.
This unfinished task is concentrated in what’s known as the 10/40 Window—a region stretching across North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, between 10° and 40° north latitude.
It includes countries like:
Afghanistan
India
Iran
Nepal
Turkey
Somalia
North Korea
Saudi Arabia
Over 90% of the world’s unreached people live here.
This is the spiritual ground zero of the world.
And the enemy knows it.
It’s where:
False religions were born
Persecution is most intense
Access to the Gospel is most restricted
But it’s also where God is moving in powerful, underground ways.
Many in the Church are unaware of this region…
Or worse, unmoved by it.
We’ve settled into a Christianity that’s content with comfort over calling, and maintenance over mission.
Jesus didn’t die for a country club.
He died to redeem the nations.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
But—
“How can they call… if they haven’t believed?”
“How can they believe… if they haven’t heard?”
“How can they hear… without a preacher?”
—Romans 10:13–14 (paraphrased)
There are still places where no preacher has ever gone.
Are we sending them?
Every minute…
People are stepping into eternity without Christ.
While we debate doctrine and build bigger buildings, the harvest is perishing.
The problem isn’t the field—it’s the laborers.
📖 “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few…”
What if we prayed with tears in our eyes:
“Lord, send me—or send someone through me!”
Until every tribe hears…
Until every language lifts up the name of Jesus…
Until every soul has the chance to say yes or no to Christ…
The mission is not over.
Missions isn't just for the “called few.”
It’s for every believer.
📖 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”
If you’re part of the body of Christ, you have a role to play in reaching the world.
Prayer moves mountains in places we can’t reach.
Pray for unreached people groups by name
Pray for open doors in closed nations
Pray for missionaries on the frontlines
Pray for boldness, provision, protection, and revival
📖 “Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance…”
You may not go to North Korea…
But your prayers can get there before sunrise.
Missionaries aren’t tourists. They’re soldiers.
And soldiers need support.
Your giving can:
Print Bibles in native languages
Train indigenous pastors
Build schools, water wells, and churches
Sustain long-term mission teams in hard places
📖 “How shall they preach, except they be sent?”
Every dollar given in faith is a seed for souls.
Whether short-term or lifelong, if God is calling—obey.
Go across the ocean.
Or across the street.
Go to the broken
Go to the overlooked
Go to those who’ve never heard
📖 “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
“Here am I. Send me.”
Not everyone is called to go, but we’re all called to send.
You can:
Encourage missionaries
Share their newsletters
Partner monthly
Equip your church to be missions-minded
William Carey, the pioneer missionary to India, once said:
🗣️ “I will go down into the pit, if you will hold the rope.”
Will you hold the rope?
We are living in a new era of missions.
Much has changed over the last decade or two. Borders have closed. Persecution has grown. Traditional access to unreached peoples has become more difficult. Yet the Gospel is advancing in powerful, creative ways—because God is not hindered.
He is using tools of the modern world to fulfill the Great Commission:
Radio waves & shortwave: Ministries like Trans World Radio (TWR) and FEBC continue to beam the Gospel into spiritually dark nations—reaching ears that missionaries cannot.
Satellite TV: Channels such as SAT-7, GOD TV, and Light for the Nations transmit biblical programming straight into homes across the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond—often in the heart languages of the people.
Digital apps & streaming: Smartphones, even in the poorest or most restricted regions, now bring the Bible to people via YouVersion, Bible.is, Jesus Film, TWR360, and more—even where Bibles are banned.
Underground churches: In places like China, Iran, and North Korea, secret fellowships are not only surviving—they are thriving. Believers are growing in boldness and faith under pressure.
Courageous witnesses: Around the world, disciples of Jesus are still risking everything—some even paying the ultimate price—to make Christ known. The blood of the martyrs continues to water the Church.
Though methods have changed, the mission has not.
The world is waiting.
The harvest is ready.
The time is short.
Jesus is worthy of the worship of every tribe, tongue, and nation.
📖 “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude… from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…”
—Revelation 7:9
Let’s live like the Great Commission still matters.
Because it does.
Carrying the flame of the Gospel into the shadows of the 10/40 Window—where darkness lingers and light is forbidden. One man. One light. One Bible. Changing the world—one step, one soul, one nation at a time.
Heavenly Father,
Lord of the harvest, we come before You with hearts stirred by the cries of the nations. We know that the harvest is white, the fields are ripe, and the time is short. You have told us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. And so we ask You now, O God—send forth laborers into Your harvest field.
We lift up the 10/40 Window, where darkness still reigns in many hearts and persecution is fierce. We pray for those who have never heard the name of Jesus—the least, the last, and the lost. Lord, shine Your light into nations gripped by false religion, communism, atheism, and spiritual blindness. Reach the souls hidden behind closed borders, veils, and barbed wire.
Strengthen and protect the underground Church. Let Your Word spread swiftly and be glorified, even in secret gatherings. May Your Spirit comfort those in hiding, embolden those who are afraid, and empower those who are willing to lay down their lives for the sake of Christ. Multiply their numbers, deepen their faith, and use them as burning torches in the darkest places on earth.
We pray for those living in abject poverty—physically, yes, but especially spiritually. May they discover the treasure of Your Gospel. Give them clean water, daily bread, and eternal hope.
Mobilize Your Church, Lord. Stir the hearts of believers across the globe—especially in regions that neighbor the unreached. Raise up missionaries, pastors, translators, teachers, digital evangelists, and disciple-makers from every nation to reach every nation.
We ask for divine creativity in using technology, media, and every available tool to bring the Good News where printed Bibles cannot go. Bless every radio wave, satellite signal, app download, and whispered testimony that points people to Jesus.
Let us never grow weary. Let us not forget. Let us not delay.
And let us live as if the Great Commission still matters—because it does.
All for the glory of the Lamb who was slain.
In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
