💬 "I want to share something with you. I got saved last night. It was amazing." A new beginning. A fresh start. A life transformed.
👪🕊️ A new believer finds joy and belonging as God’s family welcomes them with open arms. Pray, grow, and step into His light—your journey has just begun! ✝️🌱
So, you just got saved? That’s amazing! 🙌 Let me be the first to congratulate you on the most important decision of your life. ❤️ You’ve just begun a journey that will change everything. And here’s the best part—you’ll never regret it. In all my years and in every country where I’ve served, I’ve never once heard someone say, “I wish I hadn’t followed Christ.” Not once! Instead, I always hear, “I only wish I had done it sooner.” ⏳🌍
So, what happens now? You invited Jesus into your heart, and He came. 🙏 Something incredible just took place—God pulled you out of darkness and brought you into His light. 🌑➡️🌅 Your sins are forgiven, and you are now a born-again Christian! 💖 Welcome to the family of God. 👪🕊️
To help you get started in your new life, here are five key steps to growing in your faith. 🌱📖
🚶♀️🙏 A new believer walks in quiet reflection, Bible in hand, talking to God throughout her day. Personal prayer, courage, and faith guide every step—resisting doubt, praising Him, and growing closer to Jesus each moment. ✝️🌿
Now that you’ve given your life to Christ, don’t keep it to yourself—tell someone! 🙌 Sharing your experience is a powerful way to take your first step as a new believer. I know it can feel a little scary at first 😬, but don’t let fear hold you back. Start with your family 👪 and close friends. Let them know that you’ve been saved.
Jesus said, “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven” (Matthew 10:32). Confessing Christ strengthens your faith 💪 and sets a foundation for your new life.
But be prepared—Satan doesn’t like losing 😈, and he’ll try to convince you that nothing really happened. He’ll whisper doubts, telling you that you weren’t truly saved. Don’t listen! 🚫 Jesus called him “the father of lies” (John 8:44), and that’s all he knows how to do.
Whenever those doubts creep in, start praising God 🎶🙏. Worship and thanksgiving drive the enemy away—he can’t stand being in the presence of praise! “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Stand firm in your salvation. You belong to Jesus now! ✝️💖
Prayer is simply talking to God. Now that you’re saved, you have a real, living relationship with Him 🌟. It’s not about religion—it’s about knowing Him personally. So talk to Him! Share your thoughts, your struggles, your joys 😌. Ask Him questions. Tell Him what’s on your heart 💖.
God cares about you, and He listens 👂. He always answers—sometimes with “yes,” sometimes with “no,” and sometimes with “wait.” ⏳ No matter what, keep praying. The Bible says, “pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). That means having an ongoing conversation with God throughout your day.
Make prayer a habit 📆. Thank Him for everything 🙏, ask for His guidance 🕯️, pray for others — this is called intercession. And if you’re not sure how to pray, ask God to help you. He loves to teach His children! ✝️💛
Morning calm, scripture highlighted, and hope renewed. 🌞 Each word feeds her spirit, guiding her steps, shaping her heart, and drawing her closer to the Savior she loves. 🙏💫
God’s Word is your spiritual food 🍞✨—just like your body needs daily nourishment, so does your spirit! Every day you spend in Scripture strengthens your faith, equips you for life, and draws you closer to Jesus. There are many great Bible translations, but I personally recommend the New King James Version (NKJV) or the New International Version (NIV) because they are accurate, readable, and easy to understand. 🕊️
A great place to start is the Gospel of John — the fourth book in the New Testament. John was one of Jesus’ closest disciples, and his Gospel focuses on who Jesus is and why He came. 🌟 After reading John, move on to Matthew, Mark, and Luke — together, these four books are called the Gospels. They will help you understand Jesus’ life, His teachings, and His mission on earth. ✝️
Once you’ve read the Gospels, keep going! The book of Acts tells the story of the early church, filled with inspiring examples of faith and courage. 📜 Romans and 1 Corinthians teach the foundations of Christian living, giving practical guidance for relationships, love, and service. Every book in the Bible has something valuable to teach you, whether it’s wisdom, encouragement, or correction. 🌿
Make reading God’s Word a daily habit 🗓️. Don’t just read—meditate on it, memorize key verses, and let it shape your thoughts, words, and actions. The more time you spend in Scripture, the stronger your faith becomes 💪🙏, the clearer God’s voice will be in your life, and the more confident you will be to walk in His ways.
Start today—open your Bible, soak in His promises, and let God’s Word transform you from the inside out! ✨📖💖
First steps of faith lead to open doors and open hearts. 💛 Smiles and handshakes surround her, each one a reflection of Christ’s love. ✨ In this house of grace, strangers become family, and joy begins to grow. 📖 Here, faith takes root and blossoms within God’s welcoming people. 🌿🙌
Becoming part of a church family is one of the most important and joyful steps you can take as a new believer! 🙌 God never meant for you to walk this journey alone. From the very beginning, the early Christians “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42). ❤️
Find a Bible-teaching church where God’s Word is faithfully preached and the presence of the Holy Spirit is welcome. 🔥 Look for a church that believes in salvation through Jesus Christ, teaches the full Bible, and encourages believers to grow in faith and serve others. If you’re unsure where to begin, visit the Assemblies of God Church Directory online to locate a Spirit-filled congregation near you. Once you find one, make it a priority to attend regularly.
But don’t just attend—get involved! 🤝 Join in worship, volunteer where you can, and build friendships with other believers. Church isn’t merely a building; it’s the Body of Christ, where every member matters and every heart has purpose. When you serve others, your faith strengthens, your confidence grows, and your joy deepens. 🌿
Look for a small group or Bible study where you can pray, learn, and share your faith journey. These settings provide a safe place to ask questions and grow stronger together. 🌱
And don’t hesitate to talk to your pastor or church leaders. Let them know you’ve recently given your life to Christ—they’ll celebrate with you and guide you toward a new believers class, designed to lay a solid foundation for your walk with God. 📖
When you surround yourself with fellow believers, life becomes brighter, burdens become lighter, and faith becomes stronger. 🌍 Together, we grow, worship, and shine for Jesus! ✨
She emerges from the waist-high river, beaming with a big, joyful smile 🙌, soaking wet from head to toe 🌊. Her church family cheers and celebrates 🤝💖. This sacred moment marks her public declaration of faith—a powerful step into new life with Jesus ✝️.
What a joyous and sacred moment baptism is! 🎉 Whether you’re a brand-new believer or have walked with Christ for many years, baptism is a beautiful declaration of faith and obedience. It’s more than a ceremony—it’s a celebration of the new life you’ve received through Jesus Christ.
When a pastor says, “Upon your profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, I now baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit… buried with Christ in the likeness of His death, and raised to walk in newness of life,” 🌿 it echoes the very heart of the Gospel.
Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change, a public testimony that you now belong to Jesus. 💖 The moment you step into the water, you are proclaiming to the world, “I am His.”
Even Jesus Himself was baptized (Matthew 3:13–17), setting an example for every believer to follow. He didn’t need cleansing from sin—He did it to fulfill righteousness and to show us the way. 🌊
But remember, baptism doesn’t save you—only faith in Christ does. 🕊️ Baptism is an act of obedience that declares your salvation and symbolizes what God has already done in your heart. When you are fully immersed beneath the water, you identify with Christ’s death and burial; when you rise again, it’s a vivid picture of His resurrection power and your new life in Him (Romans 6:4). ✨
I believe in full-immersion baptism, just as practiced in the New Testament. Early believers were fully submerged, representing the complete washing away of the old life. 💦
Baptism is a milestone—a joyful, unforgettable step in your walk with God. It’s a moment of surrender, a public “yes” to Jesus, and a declaration that the old is gone and the new has come. 🙌
