Louis has always been the oldest in the band, starting in it at 18. His hometown Doncaster has actually raised many other stars like Jeremy Clarkson. He has always loved singing and acting, starring in his school’s production of Grease. He actually wanted to be an actor, and even went to acting school, landing him a couple small roles in movies. He has always been one of the more rambunctious of the group, always running around and playing pranks. While in the band, he struggled to find his place in the beginning but soon established himself as an amazing songwriter and singer. His unique voice often set him apart from the rest of the boys. He has also written many of their hits in their last 3 albums. In his debut solo album, we see even more breathtaking lyrics, but we also see growth. He chose not to write about the perfect Hollywood love story and instead wrote about real life. Love isn’t perfect, it hurts and sometimes it doesn’t work out. Of all the boys, he took the longest to finally put out an album, four years. He had originally planned to go into mentoring and founded his own record label Triple Strings. He was a judge and mentor on The X Factor in 2018. He continued to write music for other artists but soon realized that he could just write for himself. He has always loved soccer and has played in multiple charity games as a part of his home team, the Donny Rovers. His lucky number is 28 and he even got it tattooed on his fingers. He has hinted towards writing new music and fans hope to see a new album soon.
