Liam had the most experience of the group, making it to the judge's house when he was 14, Unfortunately he got sent home to Wolverhampton, but it was pretty fortunate for us because he was able to come back and be added to One Direction. He took on the fatherly role, earning himself the nickname Daddy Direction. He was always the more mature member and looked out for the others. He still had fun though, engaging in highly competitive water fights with Louis on stage. He’s fairly fun-loving despite his responsibilities and mature nature. When Zayn left the band, he took over most of Zayn’s vocals and showed off his voice even more by hitting Zayn’s infamous high notes. In one of his instagram lives Laim said hitting Zayn’s high notes was a scary job, and “no wonder he buggered off.” After the band went into hiatus, he started making r=emixes with Cheryl Cole. He had a son with her in 2017 named Bear. In 2017 he released the first single of his debut album, “Strip the Down” featuring Quavo and written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac. It took US radio by storm reaching number 10 on the Billboard 200 and number 3 on the UK Albums Chart. He continued to release singles and an extended play, “First Time.” But he didn’t drop his debut album until late 2019. His most recent song is “Midnight” with Alesso which he continues to perform even through COVID-19. Throughout quarantine he has been feeding the fandom. He has held 2 virtual concerts, the LP Show Act 1 and 2. The profits of these shows going to concert crews who haven’t been paid lately and various charities. He’s been going live on Instagram and TikTok frequently, interacting with fans and talking about his life and career. Check out our One Direction Interactions page for more on his insta lives.
