Fine Line is Harry Styles’ sophomore album, following his self-titled debut. He was in Malibu for most of the writing process but did take a solo trip to Tokyo to get the creative juices flowing. The album was released on December 13, 2019, over 2 years after his first album. Some of the most notable tracks include “Watermelon Sugar” and “Adore you”, reaching #1 on the Billboard charts. This album shows us a confident Harry Styles, not afraid of being vulnerable and open about his feelings and experiences. It is a progression from his first album, in both song maturity and his own sense of self-acceptance. He’s never had trouble with doing what he wanted, starting his first solo album with a 6 minute piano ballad, but in Fine Line, he shows a more delicate side. He simply wrote how he felt, with the help of a shroom or two. Regardless of psychedelics, it’s a wonderful listen and is sure to jerk a tear or two.
