Hotlaps

Hotlaps is a 24/7 time‑trial racing challenge originally created by Burt Artis, a well‑known Second Life boat builder. It lets sailors complete a marked course as fast as possible, with results automatically logged to a shared spreadsheet for comparison.  Beginner‑friendly and social, Hotlaps a great place to meet other sailors and to challenge both yourself and others.  Sailors can run the course as many times as they want, using the same boat or different boats.  All results are recorded so you can compare your times with others or track your own improvement.

This year, as in 2025, Hotlaps will be operarting all Festival week from their deck beside Albion Dock in Hrosskell region
