Autobiography

Ping-Hua/BinVa/Bin-Wha Chang (1967-present) is a Taiwan startup entrepreneur, smart appliance innovative expert, medical engineering study researcher, health promotion scholar, and data statistic analyst. He is the founder of thEating Inc., and an assistant professor of Hongkuang University, a member of Taiwan Development Institute’s (TDI), YuSam hospital administration association’s board of directors, and the vice CEO of High-tech industry development foundation.

BinVa was born in Taichung, Taiwan, and grew up in XinDian, New Taipei City, Taiwan at 1970s. His childhood was not living well due to the economic issue of his family, a veteran family, his dad (Mr. Chi, Chang) was a solider retreated from mainland China at year 1949, his Mom (Mrs. Hwang-Shi, Chang) was a housewife never worked since her middle life, and living with a junior brother (Mr. BinKuo Chang) whose born late for two years than Mr. BinVa. In the year 1973 to 1979, that was his elementary school phase, he was an alumni of Ankeng elementary school, his work on study was fair not excellent during this time. Then in the year 1979 to 1982, a junior high school phase, he studied in New Taipei Municipal Ankang high school, he was a student with study hard in this time, but not got a better achievement on studing, so his entrance examination score in senior high school that got not well. In the year 1982 to 1985, he got in a vocational high shcool that was Muzha Vocational high school in Taipei city, studing in the department of electric engineering. After his high school phase, he entered in the Dept. of refrigeration and air-conditioning, ChinYi College in 1985, now the name of this department was changed to be Department of Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Energy Engineering, NCUT. He graduated from this school at June, 1987. The next was to be volunteer millitary service for two years (1987 to 1989) in HsinChu airforce base, his work was for document and documenatry process. In the year 1989 to 1991, he worked for an air-conditional company (Carrier air-conditional engineering Co. Ltd.,) and an antenna manufacturer (Taiwan Shining Co. Ltd.,) to be an assistant engineer. Meanwhile he also passed the Junior Civil Service Examination (year 1990 and 1991) on the class of electronic engineering, and went into the Logistics Team, Special Police Fourth Headquarters and Meteorological Instruments Center, Central Weather Bureau to be an assistant specialist of communication facility and meteorological instrument. At the same time, in September, 1992, he also entered in the Dept. of Electronic Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology for his bachelor degree ( year 1992 to 1995),

BinVa started his academic career since year 1995 in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, National ChengKung University; he studied biomedical researches such as rapid screen for detection of E. coli., Glucose sensor by flow injection analysis, dynamic monitoring technology for tumor cell behavior analysis, and clinical trial on hyperhidrosis patients. Then he to be a teacher in a management school (1999 to present), he served in the Department of Health Business Administration, Hungkuang university, and his studies turned into health promotion related topics such as big data analysis applied in health care and quality control, primary care quality estimation, sleep quality analysis, and long-term care quality etc.. Moreover, he also studied the fields of market survey, E-commerce and S-commerce.

In the year 2008, he awared the rapid development of Internet of things (IOTs) and E-commerce in the world, and the problem of rice cooking to chefs in kitchens. He invented a cooking device which integrated with a water dispenser for providing an automatic rice cooker, it was named as water dispenser with intelligent rice cooker (WDIRC), and submitting this idea to IP office in many countries such as Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, China, USA, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, and Hong Kong. He also invented a lot of useful devices for improving people their living matters such as embedded universal pot cover with high pressured, a novel socket cover with AC/DC power supply, and health management towel with multiple swipe functions, these invention products had been granted from Taiwan IP office.

Honors and awards in his teaching fields, he awarded 2006 private education association's (PEA) senior excellent teacher award (No. 95-EAH-150), and in 2009, the Hungkuang University of Science and Technology excellent senior teaching teacher and ten years of senior excellent teacher sward, 2010. Awarded the excellent teacher award for the district teaching resource center of the central technical vocational school (No. 99-CEIA-0051) and the excellent teacher of the PEA of the Republic of China (No. 99EAS-99132), In 2015, he won the 37th senior teachers of the PEA. In the academic field, there were one paper on clinical engineering group papers and oral presentations in 2004 Annual Medical Engineering Conference, four oral papers published in the annual biomedical engineering conference papers, and 12th Chemical Papers Technology Conference 2006 Outstanding Award in 2006. One paper, first article of the 13th Chemical Sensor Science and Technology Symposium 2007, first paper of the 14th Chemical Sensor Science and Technology Seminar Oral Report 2008, 14th Chemical Sensor Technology, 2009 one paper of the oral report of the seminar, one paper of the annual academic symposium of the YuShan Medical and Health Management Association (YMHMA) 2013, and 2013 professor of the College of Science and Technology Junior College Student Creation Award (No. 101-UA-087), 2014 annual academic symposium of YMHMA won three papers, 2015 YMHMA Annual Academic Conference two winning papers, 2015 10th International Health Information Management Seminar one paper of the award, two papers of the annual academic symposium of the YMHMA 2016, and two papers of the annual academic symposium of the YMHMA in 2017.

2017, BinVa founded thEating Inc., he will sell WDIRC smart cooking appliance to the world, this device is a smart cooker with water dispenser function, and it can provide E-commerce services and big data analysis to customers. thEating Inc., the company dedicates on designing, producing and applying of intelligent appliances in a smart house via IOT system, the vision of this company is “to lead the advancement of smart houses through an IOT creative technology for getting a comfortable and convenient living” and the mission is “leap or lead for your living”.

2021, PhD BinVa is starting to creat his innovative product WDIRC into the market and to fundraise the capital for his company thEating Inc..
