Incompleteness is unavoidable.   But it can be determined with a diligent application of causations that the number and significance of the unknowns is small enough even before the infinite series of incremental improvements are formulized.  

At costs exceeding an hour per word, this report has not been cost efficient. No gain has been realized during the 9 years invested.  Nothing except thoughts have changed.   But, from the perspective of people as a whole the effort was unavoidable.  The only unknowns were who, how and when. 

Lasting change is only possible when the people as a body are ready to make it change.  They cannot be ready until the people as a body know what to change.  We ought to hire some representatives who know how to reason out what the change ought to be. 

Voting is a government's best form of guessing.  Unfortunately, the results are random when all of the proposed actions are not sufficiently good.  The results are predictably bad when officials with shallow reasoning skills are presented with attractive but poorly reasoned choices.  While incompleteness is unavoidable, reliably good choices are possible even for governments. 

Definition

For the purposes of this website, The America Problem is the erratic behavior of its governments (federal, state and local).  If the problem was defined as the adverse symptoms of this behavior, it would be too large for a single book and intractably controversial.  Fortunately, the unreliable behavior can be mitigated by addressing foundational flaws in decision making using well established quality assurance strategies.  But the true root causes are human imperfections and limitations of physics which also are barriers to effecting the needed changes.  To apply quality practices a measurement of erratic behavior is needed which is not judgmental concerning correctness.   There is strong historic evidence that change is sometimes required, and the best policy is not simply avoiding change.  The actual quality requirement is the changes must be intentional including the side effects. 

Human Imperfections

A significant percentage of Americans (~20%) have reached their physical limit of perceived complexity that they can tolerate.  This physical limit can be improved with improved understandings of the real world.  Approximately 20% of that 20% (4%) won't sit idle while the nation goes the wrong way.  They "know" only authoritarian edicts can save us from imminent destruction.  That 4% has divided themselves into two opposing political groups.  The verbal battles between these 2% garners most of the media coverage enabling everyone to have at least one good reason to be angry along with a larger number of irrational reasons.   Because "our" side will lose if we are not united in opposition and additional complexity exacerbates the perceived problem, the political solutions to complex problems have become binary questions.  While binary thinking does simplify isolated actions, in large organizations the actions are not isolated.  Even being 90% correct creates chaos as the 10% errors have systematically accumulated over time.  

Improved Understanding

Reducing perceived complexity without destructive simplifications requires a theory of everything inclusive of evolution, thought, ethical governance and the foundations of American constitutional law to use as a guide for consistency measurements.  Flawed models of physics are the focus of part 1 (Quanti Theory) and part 2 (Physics of Thought) in the investigation results report Backtracking Decision Trees PDF .  The effort of identifying the statistics and word definitions required for understanding begin with part 3 (Communications).   The brief overview below on this website includes some elaborations to make the findings easier to understand.  The website, Simplexity Guide has the same purpose of increasing understanding and could serve as the first draft of the guideline needed for consistency measurements for the sciences.  However, many people will object to this choice as a guide.   

Part 4 (Government) of the pdf are specifically American flaws.  The government problem can be traced back to civil war reconstruction when the moral imperative of equal treatment of freed slaves broke state governments and at the same time discarded important precepts at the federal level. It's been xx years since the 14th amendment due process clause became the law of the land.  We still don't meet its intent because we only take the time to fix symptoms. Repairing this system of government requires political changes that is the focus of the website Preamble Politics.  Many people will object to using the term, "repair".  

Objection Barriers:

1. Humans do not believe anything new that does not synchronize with their current understanding

2. Our foundational understandings are flawed

3. We reflexively protect our flaws by misconstruing words.  

4. Changing our minds is a physical process which takes time

5. The volume of humans and volume of knowledge is immense

6. Perceived complexity is being actively reduced by destructive authoritarian edicts which increases the volume of change required.

7. Any change, including the proposed remedy, will initially be perceived as adding to complexity for a significant percentage of people which in turn may cause destructive backlash. 

Simplicity 

Conquering each barrier requires an enormous number of steps where each step must be small enough for each individual to understand.  Everyone knows that:

1. disinformation is rampant

2. all humans make mistakes

3. that they themselves do not make big mistakes in their own area of expertise 

   1. unless ... 

Item 3.1 is a work in progress that requires feedback from critics.   But at this time, the smallest step is Bayesian logic showing that an error in their area of expertise exists.  And the first step is showing people how to easily update the odds of information being true for situations where the truth does not depend on free will modifying the future. For the sciences, the universe changes slowly enough that experiments can be used to validate. 

For the US government, we can't explicitly test the past intent of the written words.  We can still calculate the odds of having the correct interpretation beyond a reasonable doubt by assuming overall consistency between words and actions.  Counter intuitively if there are no inconsistencies between individual actions and intent the information used is incomplete and may be intentionally deceitful.  Humans use their free will to make things better as soon as possible without being aware of the future damage.   The process for restoring any interpretation requires election politics.  Attempts to correct the flaws in the correct interpretation prior to acknowledgement embeds inconsistencies that can be abused later. 

Resulting Projects 

The Preamble Politics and Simplexity Guide were created in January of 2026 for projects that promote corrections of the America problem.  

Things changed in the first weeks of January: 

• ICE agent actions lead to the administration's support of homicidal tactics, 

• An improved understanding of the Lorentz local field corrections enabled a pdf document to be created that is urgently needed. 

As a result,  

• menus have been rearranged 

  • science/education (Simplexity) 

  • governance/politics (Preamble)

  • (2025 Changes) saved but not well organized 

Certainty and Uncertainty

It is now as certain as civilization surviving three more years that the changes we want will occur. But only time can answer, questions about cost and the dates.  

The more urgent questions: 

• What side do the elected officials want to be on?

• Did the Supreme Court Justices ever dream of setting things right? 

  • Do they still want to be on the right side of history? 

  • Can they admit to being deceived like the rest of the planet has been for 100 years?

• Is there time to ...

Writing a conclusion is no longer a priority.  It may never be a priority. 

It won't stop the violence

Individual humans are flawed and made both better and worse with emotions.  Groups of humans change behavior with effective density of communications. Effective governance of behavior needs to be aware of phase changes caused by density changes.   Phase changes in populations are analogous to phase changes in water.

In theory empires may collapse when butting head frequency self optimizes into more rigid and larger groups of more powerful butthead behavior while surrounded by more fluid groups.  Or the reverse where the more rigid phase condenses and is swirled around like raindrops in a hurricane.  A combination appears to be the root of the America problem.

The mitigation strategy is twofold. Reduce science induced head butting. (Simplexity)  And second, to reduce government induced head butting. (Preamble Politics)
