Posts could be made by any user signed up with an account and a profile. Not only were users able to post anything on the social networking site, updates, music backgrounds, and gifs, but they were also able to contribute to the production of MySpace. Separating from just user production, MySpace provided a platform for musicians and artists to upload their art and music to spread as well, along with movies, tv, etc. Though the posts were anonymous in some way, a lot of MySpace users used pseudonyms to hide their identity from strangers but used their real names in their own “friend spaces”.
