A Circuit of Culture is a sociological framework coined by Stuart Hall that explores a pop culture phenomenon through 5 domains: Production, Consumption, Representation, Identity, and Regulation.
Stuart Hall's framework "provides an analytical framework through which to view products of popular culture. The circuit is split into five interacting elements which range in their level of visibility to the public sphere. Visible elements are representation and identity, whereas production, consumption, and regulation are invisible, subtly influencing popular culture artifacts in obscured ways" (source).
