Annotation Assignments

Did you know Canvas allows you to create assignments with files for students to annotate?

When creating a normal assignment, select the "Online" submission type. Check the "Student Annotation" box. Now you can select from your course files (i.e. pick something already located in your modules) or upload a file from your computer.

When students complete the assignment, the file will display on the page directly inside of Canvas. They can use the annotation tools in the tool bar to highlight, type comments, draw and more.
