Some students may not realize each course has its own AI policy. In the first week of class, it's vital to review your course AI policy within your syllabus to allow for discussion and student questions. These early-semester chats can save time, stress and confusion later on.
TXWES Faculty are responsible for creating their own unique AI policy. While prohibited, limited and integrated policies are all allowed, Texas Wesleyan highly encourages faculty to use either the limited approach or the integrated approach.
Three common methods for disclosing the use of AI is via citation, use statement or LMS comment.
Faculty are free to choose which type works best for their courses, however this expecation must be outlined in the course AI policy.
