Fighters have multiple sects depending on your race:
There are regular fighters and then racial specializations you can "Join" at your racial sect at level 50+
Note: This may be changing in the near future to allow fighters to pick from the various abilities of various racial sects to make for more versatile builds, but these changes are NOT in play yet.
Elf: Bladedancer - Uses fighting.offensive.melee.sharp with 2, one handed weapons & fighting.offensive.special for the damage of blade dance. Their defensive ability Glide runs off of fighting.offensive.dodging.melee
Dwarf: Battlerager - Uses fighting.offensive.melee.blunt & fighting.offensive.special to determine their damage with battlerage. This special used to be an uncontrollable AoE attack that would damage any non-dwarf in the room and could not be specified who it did or didn't hit. That has since changed, and apparently now it's literally no different than rampage for regular fighters. (Sad times)
Human: Privateer - Uses one handed sharp and a wrist guard (both bought in the annex), to lunge and riposte your targets. Also has access to steal, hide & sneak and a small quest at level 200 or 250+ to get either a Galleon (Amador) or Frigate (Kai-Thaan) by "pledge loyalty" to either the Queen or Emperor. Has their own private dock & cannon shop beneath the Commodore "open trapdoor" along with a hidden exit to it.
Halfling: Hidden Elite (Hamstringer) - Uses either Sharp or Unarmed? and gets a special similar to backstab that can't be used in combat that has a small chance to apply a holding effect on your target in combat. Gets hide & sneak too.
Orc: Devastator - Uses any (2handed?) weapon type with the special "overwhelm" which deals additional hits that only strip layers.
Duergar: Berserker - Uses 1 handed Blunt + Shield Runes can be added to the shield in the annex (currently pierce is best) due to reflection hits. Berserk special augments stats, but has an obnoxious cooldown, making the racial sect very unreliable in PvP unless you hard stat your potions / stats.
