Dr. Hiroyuki OKAMOTO has taken on a leadership role as the Group Leader of aquaculture genomics and breeding at the Fisheries Research and Education Agency in Japan. Dr. Okamoto's significant contributions extend to engaging in discussions and communication concerning the regulatory aspects of gene editing with three different Japanese ministries: the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Environment.
