Do you have an active research interest in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, specialize in teaching sociology, and incorporate sociological insights into their teaching practices? The Thematic Group Sociological Teaching (TG09) hosted by the International Sociological Association aims at facilitating transnational discussions and exchange of both research findings and specific teaching practices. It plans to develop, curate, and coordinate a peer-reviewed global repository of sociology teaching exemplars, including syllabi, teaching practices (including integration of theory and practice from different world contexts) and strategies, lesson plans and assessments, teaching philosophies and dossiers. The Thematic Group also maintains the e-publication Pedagogy Series (https://socialjustice.isaportal.org/pedagogy-series/Membership) in collaboration with the ISA’s Social Justice and Democratization Space (SJDS). This publication invites contributions from scholars working around the globe. We welcome theoretical work, empirical studies, descriptions of teaching practices, reflections, or commentaries related to the broader fields of teaching sociology and sociological teaching. You can join the TG09 Sociological Teaching here: https://www.isa-sociology.org/en/research-networks/thematic-groups/tg09-sociological-teaching. Inquiries about and submissions to the Pedagogy Series can be emailed to the editors Dr. Katherine Lyon (katherine.lyon@ubc.ca) and Dr. Annette Tézli (atezli@ucalgary.ca).
