Britain has an often overlooked car industry, so today we'll be looking at the top 6 of the British Car contest. Get your tea and crumpets ready.
Small and well-rounded, the Cabriolet comes off as one of the icons of 80s British motoring. The driving, while not the best, is good enough for a car from this era, and although you can't haul your kids to school in it, you'll love the open air experience it provides.
The Lotus is yet another icon of British motoring, appearing in many movies and loved by many. Although not the best to drive and definitely won't be able to stack up against other sports cars, it has the charm and recognizability that few cars can claim.
Although the real stars of the Italian Job are the Minis, the movie would not be complete without its Bedford bus. Although it drives and handles like, well, a bus, you'll have plenty of fun trying to load up Minis with its accurately replicated loading ramps.
Essentially just a tuned Rover 45, the ZS is one way to put a little spice in your family hauling commute. Decently fast and controllable while still having the practicality of a 4-door, it's a good car for those who need some practical speed.
Land Rover is a time-tested brand from Britain, easily recognizable, with plenty of history behind it. Although this definitely isn't much of an off-roader anymore, it'll do just fine hauling kids around in the city.
Now if you do want to go off-road, this is the Land Rover for you. Known to many as a no-frills utilitarian vehicle, this thing can get you anywhere - from school to the wilderness, even up a dam!
