At 1930s, automobile history was still only at its beginning. Introduced in 1931, the elegant Vesta Roadmaster is one of the finest vehicles of its time, and is still, after 9 decades, considered beautiful. Let's get into it.
Equipped with a 5.5 L V8 engine, the Roadmaster is one of the fastest mass-production cars of its time with its max speed of 106 km/h. Of course, the car becomes much less controllable at speeds above 60-70 km/h, but on long highways, you wouldn't be disappointed. And while you're driving, its amazing suspension will take care of the bumps.
The Roadmaster, fitting the general automobile styling of the 30s, is very smooth in shape, from hood to the fenders. Its thin wheels, being pretty simple in terms of design, are still quite elegant. Small bumper, being very light, will do for most low-speed accidental collisions. There are, of course, other little but improving details which make the car surely attractive.
The interior of the car combines leather and wooden elements. It is, in general, very simple but comfortable.
The Vesta Roadmaster, overall, leaves a good impression, and we definitely encourage you to try out this luxurious retro-sedan.
Score:
Low-brick factor: 8 - 321 bricks is definitely fine for all servers. It could, of course, be less, but this would result in loss of details.
Cool factor: 8 - The Roadmaster surely feels cool to own and drive, but many people today aren't interested in retro-cars.
Fun factor: 7 - Pretty fun to drive, but doesn't have very special entertaining features.
Practicality: 9 - The car has 3 passenger seats, but doesn't include a trunk. But this is normal for its times: luggage would often be transported on the roof or on the back of the car.
Driving: 8 - The car drives nice and smooth, but loses controllability with speed.
Overall: 8.0
