Another notable Takeda car, the Puchi R was the sporty variant of the Takeda Puchi line. A compact liftback straight from the 80s, it might not be fast, but you'll always have a smile on your face when you drive it.
Fitting in right with 80's sporty compacts, the Puchi R is undeniably 80's with its liftback, headlight design and small, boxy body. Although many have moved on from this body style, it's still a pretty unique design almost 35 years later.
Looks aside, the Puchi R absolutely kills it on handling, being one of the best handling cars we've driven. The steering is nimble and responsive, and the car itself drives very predictably, especially if you try to drift it. It's not too slow either, with it lapping our test track in 2 minutes 20 seconds, however the 0-60 time of 11.63 seconds is pretty good but may leave some wanting a bit more.
Takeda Puchi R, a car that doesn't cut any corners on handling or on the track and will definitely get you to the destination in time.
Score:
Low-brick factor: 9 - The Puchi is 296 bricks, meaning you can spawn it almost anywhere you want.
Cool factor: 8 - Although pretty rare today, the Puchi doesn't look too good compared to modern cars.
Fun factor: 9 - The Puchi is very fun to drive thanks to its relatively quick acceleration and rensponsive steering.
Practicality: 7 - The car only seats two but has plenty of trunk space.
Driving: 9 - The driving experience with the Puchi is unique in its own way. Though it's pretty slow compared to modern cars, it definitely deserves some space in your heart.
Overall: 8.4
