If you are traveling, we suggest the following:

If you have an Alarm System that is compatible with Total Connect remote services and text/email alerts, make sure that the desired alerts are activated and that you remember your log-in credentials (if you need to reset or recover your password, via Website Portal read this / via mobile app read this). If you are not familiar with this feature, read about Total Connect HERE.

Submit Form A-5 to establish a temporary (vacation) call list change for a specific time window. Find our Forms HERE. Suggest the person assigned to receive the phone calls add our Monitoring Station phone number to their contact list so they don't think it is a telemarketer calling and will answer the phone, 800-554-1104.

If a House Sitter, Pet Sitter, Family/Friend will be coming and going from your home to check on or take care of things, we suggest the following:

■ Make sure that they know how to use the Alarm System and provide them with a printed copy of the Cheat Sheet. Find Cheat Sheets for your Alarm System by starting HERE.

■ Make sure that they have their own Keypad Code & Verbal Password (never share yours). Most systems allow us to remotely program the alarm, if so we will do this for you at no charge, just complete and submit Form A-1a. Find our Forms HERE.

■ Make sure that they understand how to Arm and Disarm the Alarm System. They also need to know how to Acknowledge/Clear/Reset both Alarm and Trouble/Check Conditions. They may need our number for assistance in the event they need help using the alarm, 352-861-9999.

■ Make sure that they know how to Cancel a False Alarm with our operators at the Monitoring Station to avoid wasting emergency responder resources and avoid false alarm fees for you. Find False Alarm Prevention information HERE.
