My thesis statement helped me summarize the main point as well as my claim. It is usually located at the end of the introductory paragraph and tells the reader how you will interpret the significance of the topic. It also serves as a roadmap for the rest of my paper, indicating what to expect and what evidence I will utilize.
Thesis Statement and Outline Of “Tide Laundry Detergent”
v (What a paragraph does/says)
Paragraph 1 Introduction, states [thesis statement]:
The creators of "Tide Pod Detergent," manufactured by Procter and Gamble, created an effective advertisement that provided the benefits of utilizing their product, and the evolution and innovations of Tide products mirror many of the changes in America's culture.
This is proven in Luis Manzano's "Tide Perfect Clean with the Freshness of Downy" ad.
Manzano talks about how there are 4-in-1 ingredients, which include the freshness of downy.
He proceeds to describe how powerful Tide Pod detergent will make your clothes fresh, and clean with a floral spring scent.
v Paragraph 2 talks about the current climate:
On a muddy, rain-soaked field in the city, soccer players are practicing their skills.
The local citizens are talking amongst one another on a side bench, vehicles drive through the city and muddy fields, and others decide to take pictures.
v “Explain who the audience is and why this connects, why now.
"Tide Pod Detergent" is aimed at women between the ages of 18 and 54, as well as those from the middle class.
The right message should reach the right people to make the desired impact on marketing strategies.
Positioning a product that has all the qualities needed in a detergent and is priced well in the market to be affordable to all.
v Paragraph 3 describes the ad, then the text, face.
"Tide Perfect Clean with Freshness Downy" displays a variety of settings.
The plot of the ad tells how influential “Tide Pod Detergent” can be in deep cleaning stains in garments.
It shows how "Tide Pod detergent" has you covered whether you need a heavy-duty detergent for your demanding laundry loads or liquid detergent for your diminished or small load.
v Paragraph 4
The beginning of the ad shows a red, orange, yellow, and pink background that helps display the Tide product. On the right hand of Manzano’s, there’s a Tide image with a blue, yellow, red, and frost-white Tide Perfect Clean logo with a rose and petals.
Also, the red and pink floral roses and perfume bottles that sit in front of the Tide image represent the fresh floral scent of Downy.
iv. Introducing the 4-in-1 ingredient and proudly presenting the 4-in-1 trademark in large, white letters, Luis Manzano exhibited the product to the audience.
v Paragraph 5: talks about the emotional appeals.
i. The townswoman had numerous emotions in one day.
ii. She begins cautiously walking through the mud.
iii. Enthused to take pictures.
iv. excited to see a friend, pleased with excitement due to the weather.
v. panicky due to the muddy mess from the yellow Volkswagen beetle and soccer ball.
vi. Low-spirited, and whimpering at the muddy mess over her garment.
vii. happy because her garment shirt is sparkling white again.
v Paragraph 6: talks about the text, then compare the image’s tone, how her face is strong, yet the text is casual. Make the connection between the serious text and emphatic words on the side.
i. Luis quickly engaged in holding the weeping townswoman.
ii. Luis Manzano held her with a stare of concern.
iii. The townswoman stood in shock.
iv. Her eyes bulged due to being shocked by the unexpected.
v. Her mouth is wide open due to being amazed by the miracles.
vi. Surprised by the magical wonders of the "Tide Pod detergent".
