N-9042 READ Course Offerings
May 20-22 see Dave Callery message below. Limited to Forest Service employees at this time, but they might open it to others later. Course limit 200 participants.
Nominations must use the form linked here, which must be submitted by April 30. Please direct any questions about the training to Dave Callery (david.callery@usda.gov).
June 17-18 presented by Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region. Total limit 350 participants. 200 reserved for Oregon and Washington area (all agencies). 150 slots for those outside this area. If there are still openings in the 200 group as of May 19 we will open remaining slots to all. The agenda for this course is attached. A sign up link for this course will be posted Monday April 21. Please do not try to sign up before then.

Training Requirements
REQUIRED TRAINING to obtain READ qualification:
An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (IS-700)
An Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS-100)
Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (ICS-200)
Resource Advisor (N-9042)
WCT needed: none
There is no task book for this position, new responders will serve as a Trainee and ensure they get ICS-225 Performance Ratings for incidents worked, once a qualified trainer evaluates the responder as ready for certification, then turn in the ICS-225's to your training officer and request a review for qualification.

An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (IS-700)
An Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS-100)
Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (ICS-200)
Firefighter Training (S-130)

Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service (L-180)
