A new training course (M-280 Resource Advisor, Fireline) has replaced the N-9042 course for both READ and REAF.
REAF now requires a position task book for both USFS and BLM! Contact your training officer to initiate a REAF taskbook if you are a current or new trainee!

Training Requirements
REQUIRED TRAINING to obtain READ qualification:
An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (IS-700)
An Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS-100)
Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (ICS-200)
Resource Advisor, Fireline (M-280)
WCT needed: none
There is no task book for this position, new responders will serve as a Trainee and ensure they get ICS-225 Performance Ratings for incidents worked, once a qualified trainer evaluates the responder as ready for certification, then turn in the ICS-225's to your training officer and request a review for qualification.
