Lindt is the most recognised chocolatier brand in the world, known for their chocolate truffles and bars. Lindt was founded in 1845 and is based in Kilchberg, in the canton of Zurich. This is where its famous museum is located, the Lindt Home of Chocolate. The museum was opened to the public in 2020 to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Lindt & Sprüngli, and is now a must-see landmark in Switzerland.
A ticket into the Home of Chocolate costs 17 Francs for an adult and 10 Francs for a child. These tickets grant you access into the factory-museum hybrid, the closest you're ever gonna get to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory! Inside, you will find a chocolate museum, the worlds largest Lindt store, a 9-meter high chocolate fountain, chocolate-making classes, and much more!
From the B2 Hotel, the Lindt Home of Chocolate would take you about 27 minutes by train. You would first have to walk around 1 km to the train station, then take the Ruschlikon, Park im Grünen for 10 stops. Once you reach the Lindt & Sprungli station, it's a 3-minute walk to the home of chocolate!
This is quite a long journey, so it may be easier to rent a car or take a cab. By car, this distance is 13 minutes.
