The Special Operations Bureau uses personnel with specialized training, expertise, and equipment to assist other Law Enforcement units across Sussex County. Bureau members receive training in multiple areas to ensure the officers are prepared for any situation that arises. Our many planned and current divisions are there to ensure the utmost safety for all of Sussex County in a wide variety of abnormal Law Enforcement situations and events. We work closely with other departments which include both other Law Enforcement departments: SCSO, and DSP. The bureau is constantly ensuring we're keeping up to date on the latest state situations, advancing technology, and training our officers to ensure they are up to the highest standard.
