The Sussex Police Department operates multiple K-9 teams. Patrol K-9 teams are required to follow basic requirements for discipline, scan, apprehension, and safety for the handler. Identification K-9 teams will follow minimum requirements for identification of the odor(s) that the K-9 is being equipped to identify.
