Adding Videos from Ensemble
SUNY Online uses Ensemble to host video files that will be used in it's courses. Videos should be added to SUNY Online Ensemble instead of uploading them directly to Blackboard or using existing links to campus hosting services.
Some videos might not be added to Ensemble, examples include: instructor-owned videos that currently live on YouTube, videos owned by 3rd parties, and library resources. The first two must be checked to ensure they are completely accessible; they must include accurate captions or a transcript. Consult with your campus ID if you have any questions about where a video should live.
In order to upload to Ensemble, you should reach out to your campus ID. They will have access to an upload area from which the files will be added to your Ensemble library in Blackboard. Consult with your campus ID to determine whether or not you will need to have captions added to your video. Human-generated captions can be added as part of the upload process if needed.
