Mom's Tea & Cannabis

Mom's Tea & Cannabis

Meet Amanda Rogers.

"Hi, I'm Amanda Rogers. Founder of an award winning nonprofit called Mom's Tea & Cannabis.

We are a worldwide women and mom owned nonprofit that stands up for the stigma on women, especially mom's who consume cannabis whether it's recreational or medical.

I am a Mom and was the owner, teacher, janitor, counselor and principal of a private daycare that was at full capacity. I had 9 children under my care all under the age of 5. Covid came around and shut the daycare down for over a year. Only corporate daycares could get the proper gear and had space to reopen after a year of almost everyone being closed or virtual.

Months pass by and I'm finally able to get my gear and I have a plan in place of how to fight toddlers on keeping a mask on while also keeping them apart and doing individual check in and outs.

Then the fear sets in.

I'm reopening my daycare after starting a worldwide nonprofit to support mom's who consume cannabis and I consume daily myself. How am I going to medicate? I've been home all this time and can consume when I want to. What are the parents going to think or say if they find out what I do? That I daily consume. I'm all the way out of the cannabis closet now!

I decided to reopen my daycare doors anyways. I'm in an all cannabis recreational state. I should be okay right?

I had one parent who didn't care and just wanted me to watch their child. Two told me they see what I'm doing now and don't want me watching their child. The other seven ghosted me. No communication at all. This is from parents where I've had their child and/or their siblings before them for years. They know me. They trust me.

I'm now faced with continuing to keep my daycare open and start over hoping I get children again or close my doors and take on Mom's Tea & Cannabis full time.

I closed the daycares doors February of 2021.

Since then Mom's Tea & Cannabis has built a safe community for mothers, those who identify as mothers and their women allies. We come together to share stories, get positive education, cannabis etiquette, find people who understand, find other consumers near you, host events and whatever else may arise in the cannabis world.

I host lives on Instagram every other Saturday where we break down and educate the truth and positives of the cannabis plant. We speak anywhere from mental health, break down of the plant and even the positives the female body gets from it. There is also small business Saturday lives the first Saturday of each month where we highlight women owned small business in and out the cannabis industry.

We have a private group on Facebook where we mainly gather that has a private voice and video channel too. We are also on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Leafwire.

We are hosting and attending lots of events starting August 2022 all the way through August 2023. Including two retreats on each coast in the United States.

The cannabis industry is definitely a tough industry to be in. More so as females. I truly believe that with our stories and proper education with etiquette is how we are going to end this stigma."
