SPEAKING. MOBILE BEST APPS, TECHNOLOGIAL GADJECTS OR DEVICES THAT WILL CHANGE OUR LIVES vs. OLD TECHNOLOGY AND DISCOVERIES THAT CHANGED THE COURSE OF HUMAN KIND
In groups, find information about TWO technological inventions: mobile phone applications, gadgets or AI appliances, engineering achievements. One may be a popular one, modern and revolutionary but the other has to be an old one, one that took place many years ago but that in your opinion had a great impact in our societies.
You must present the apps, devices to the class using a google drive presentation or a genial.ly. Upload the presentation to classroom and include:
General information about the app/device/technological discovery or achievement
"It was created by... // it was created in...
The objective of the app is
The main use is to...
It consists of...
Describe and explain how to use it. What are the different uses.
"in order to use this app, you need to download... then you must..."
What is the history of this app? and of its founder, company?
how many people use it (downloads)? how much does it cost? how much money is it worth (stock market)?
Demonstration of its use, whether live or with a Role Play
DEBATE.
Ask and answer questions about the app. "what is your opinion?" "do/would you use this app?"
what is your opinion about it? is it useful? would you use it? why?
what are the advantages and disadvantages of the app?
On one hand ... on the other hand....

It seems t be quite efficient....
Would (or wouldn't) you recommend it, why?
Which one had a greater impact on society, why?
Conclusion
1.- Create a google presentation, share it with the members of the group (or a genial.ly)
2.- Find information about the app, divide the work between the members of the group. If you find that you do not have enough information you can work on two different apps
3.- Present the app or device to the classroom. Make sure you divide the sections of the presentation, include pictures but do not use too much text, it is an oral task!
4.- You may choose to do the presentation in the form of an interview, that is asking and answering questions about the app
