Hailing from Clan Gravelgut, Urist set off long ago to live the life of the mercenary, and has been with the Lord's Alliance for some 50 odd years, back when his clan first made a name for itself. The Gravelgut Clan worked as sappers for many years and many wars, spending long weeks digging tunnels to break through into an enemy's flanks. Some rumors spread around that they even eat rocks as they mine, poking fun at their clan name since they don't come back out of their tunnels for days, sometimes weeks, for food.
Within his mercenary company, Urist is lauded to be one of the most devastating fighters in closed spaces, while also being known as the most belligerent member outside the tavern. A few also see him as a tightfisted grudge-bearer, due to his disdain towards certain individuals and groups. Urist believes that his drinking times are to be spent full of joy, a time to forget about his worries and have fun, but try to ruin his fun during his free time, then you'll find your name in his journal he's dubbed his book of grudges. Of course, he never remembers to write down a reason for why your name's in there when he's drunk, and will just forget whatever slight you had done to him.
Upon hearing that Kris Dahn had fallen to goblins, Urist's first thought was about an old tavern he had frequented some years ago, The Tasty Gauntlet, and started searching for information on it and the owner, who had been a good friend of his. After searching between jobs for a few years and failing, he finally grit his teeth and set off to get revenge for the tavern, ready to kill any bastard that's taken over the place.
