Sphere notes
Sector 1 is likely the top layer of the sphere
Sector 2 is likely a layer deeper in the sphere, and probably a lot larger
Any sector could have tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of personnel and hardware under their watch
And that's if there's only 4-5 sectors
POLUTION RAT CAVE ZONE RUSTED MAXIDOME

MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE BROKE OUT OF THE STASIS TUBE
FATHER IMURA'S FUN ZONE
THE WEIRD OFFICE
Note: "I don't mind sharing with you, but please send your best next time."
Phone says he was "Nikoli", but I just asked for something to call them.
Might be addressed to Dynnex. But who knows
"Nikoli" asked if Simon would pursue knowledge, to better himself, and become more capable and independent.
Simon said Yes, if he grasped the consequences.
Even if this would trouble his companions?
Yep. Under the right circumstances.
"Nikoli" insinuated that the office was Simon's.
Detect Magic on Imura: You sense immense power floating nearby Imura. You don't recognize it. Imura himself is shielded in an energy similar to what you saw Shamir use - Ki. His body is radiating with it. There is also some nature of unusual presence in both him and his cross. It seems the shrouded power is using some kind of magical concealment. It protects itself from most scrying and magic. You feel its eyes on you.
NEW STUFF 6/6/24
"Be careful the waters you tread. Lest they swallow you afore you can realize your potential." - All the man says to me, then hangs up.
WEIRD AND UNUSUAL WOMAN
Wearing OpSys Hardware
Opsys is Dynnex's core control unit. Authorized by the innermost leadership of the group. Core control is likely commanded by whoever founded Dynnex, or whoever came after them.
It's a cybernetic computer built by dynnex, but unfamiliar
Opsys' brand is a Triple-Hexagon.
I got a vial of her blood, she seems to use it as a spellcasting medium
JAG
Unclassified supervisor who handed work down to outfits like Simon's.
He's known as a mere scout, so his real rank was scrubbed
Spec-SyS field operator who has been around for a long time
SABIN
Similar to Jag, but Simon knows even less
Associated with the ancient dig Simon has trouble recalling.
A man with cybernetic enhancements that grant him superhuman powers.
Girlboss Blood:
The blood is foreign. To your senses, it's not really blood. It looks like blood, and may function for her as blood might for you, but it'
fuck
It's different. It doesn't carry oxygen, it carries some kind of high-function current. You wager it glows because its conductive to her as a body. The more you move it away from her, the less it glows, the less energy it carries. You deduce the blood isn't a necessary medium for this at all, it's just what naturally possesses inclination by extent of being a part of her body. Her physiology is unalike yours. There's no white or red cells. You aren't sure how to deduce how the blood functions. To you, it's almost as if it's like a fiction made to resemble non-fiction.
The energy the vial of blood could put out on her command seems enormous. Beyond enormous...
It's as though each vial may have the potential of a nuclear warhead. No human, no machine could make use of this. But her.... ki? Perhaps it could. She is extremely dangerous.
You feel if a human comes into contact with what's within here they will be burned to atoms, if not having their atoms split open completely. Nothing, no metal, no mineral, could withstand it.
If anything, if she were conscious, and you held them, it could bring you tremendous harm, or harm to anyone else.
E.S. Esper. It's in the SHIT
Esper - Codename for high-function entities.
Recognize it because of the dig site that Simon was likely forced to forget through memory alteration methods.
Simon's probably already brushed shoulders with an esper in the past, whether as a subject or in an operation.
Might have even worked with Isavaalt himself. (new note 10/29/2025 - Looking at logs, Sermak says I did not work under Isavaalt directly, tho likely did work via commission on projects relating to him. Now, we obviously know I worked under Thane and Grene.)
Yoko
She's a fractal motion thing
The concept sounds complex... but perhaps it isn't in practice. A fractal is a self-same object that divides infinitely into itself. Motion may describe the division process. Perhaps fractal motion is the process of repeating a perfect, or near perfect, replica.
Skogan
Sounds like Skogan. A notoriously temperamental and often times shady broker of sorts. He has worked in Dynnex for a very long time, and few truly trust him. He's keen to make ends meet through any means possible, even dubious ones that threaten organization integrity. What keeps him afloat is results - he delivers on operations and objectives, always. You know him by reputation alone.
Ship Notes 6/5/2024
Simon will take over some Sim programs with his AI
Session notes 6/12/2024
Dynnex has man I just never finixhed this thought lmfao
Well, anyway, personal notes for RP:
Make Simon be happy about progress in spite of hating the way they get there.
Continue to be very frank about how he feels things should get done, but maybe even more autistic and morally reprehensible.
Listening Post (Past the airplane drones)
T.ARKNE 7792
Listening post report, drone activity increased locally, burrowed through the stone formation.
At the bottom of the same elevator
T. Sez signed a geological discourse page
IW S2 O.E.S. Geological Discourse - They've been digging up a lot of espers here and freezing and disposing of them.
Names: T. Sez, Larry, Olyecht
T. Sez and Olyecht were both confederate contacts
Larry was a cunt, but sent Simon a lot of very annoying commissions at Dynnex.
96 is good at using any guns, naturally.
96 probably broke out of their stasis tube, and also, makes really hot fire.
Simon downloaded all reports - IW S2 O.E.S. Neuroguidence Notation, Geological Discourse, Preliminary Report (96 tests), and Standing Orders. And listening post report.
Session 7/24/2024
Simulation Results:
The simulations have dedicated the four contacts have orbital corrections being made to them when they were recorded. The three of them are likely large enough to be small stations. The other is predicted to be a Dynnex Orbital Shuttle. The shuttle in particular has a strange orbit, and seems to be somewhat erratic. The simulations suggest its drives may be damaged.
The sims plotted that docking with it may be possible from two angles. The orbital shuttle is larger than the Luchador though not by much. An older Dynnex model, it may not have cloaking active at this time and may be in need of maintenance. These shuttles have only moderate armaments and are typically made for non-military engagements. You're aware they can have large hangars and ample storage, and are used to ferry heavy equipment.
To you, it seems like the shuttle entered a controlled area and then subsequently had a gradually decaying orbit. The nature of the debris field means that constant adjustments have to be made to avoid collisions. But the shuttle may be malfunctioning or its crew may be having troubles with it.
The stations are heavily-armed and fairly stable. The debris fields surrounding them would make approach difficult and slow but possible. They are substantially larger than the Luchador. They remind you of older improvised Dynnex facilities and lack proper cloaking.
7/31/2024 - Funky Monkey Shuttle
Mental Acuity seems to be a psychic ranking by the Op-SyS. D+ is massively higher than any conventional human, even those with cybernetics, would be capable of. The rankings are exponential, with human potential being at E. Only special humans like yourself begin to ascend the rankings. You judge that while she may currently lack the fine tuned ability to conjure bonermen or discs of Amalie floating, she has an instinct that commands a mental presense far outstripping conventional psykers. It's likely her mental abilities supplement her physical ones rather than substitute them. In other words, she may be like a battlemage.
~notes of whispers between the last one and the next one because i didnt take notes for a while~~
Xayei's body is unalike Yoko's. This much is a given, even at a superficial appearance. Yoko doesn't eat, and doesn't seem to need to. She subsisted a long time without any evident tiredness or weariness, even after battle. The sedation she suffered when removing the device was more likely due to the device's severe effect on her brain functions including, as you learned, the Dynnex's extensive efforts to destroy her memories. Xayei is different. You found her asleep and she needed to eat. They may share similar origins or "divine" nature but Yoko's clearly closer to "divine" than the latter. The documentation details extensive efforts to imprison and destroy her. The cost likely came at energy. In other words, she is not immortal, she must consume some resource to subsist through their trials.
Daryl is rumored to be the name of the administrator of one of Dynnex's top organizations. The connection leads you to believe he may in fact be the leader of Spec-SyS.
To make matters more concerning, Daryl's name is associated with being somewhat headstrong and extremely efficient. He has a certain mix of characteristics that makes him unpredictable and very likely to double down on aspects of operations that made him highly successful. One of the reasons why his actual ranking and connection wasn't determined was because he left nothing behind
Plasma weaponry is what you believed to be the peak of Dynnex weapons technology. A greater-than-lethal armament, it destroys almost anything it touches with immense heat. However, the weapons are very complex and timely to construct.
Larry seems to have very simple goals, but his ambitions were lofty. Many small-time jobs amounted to large long-term goals inscrutable to any who bothered to waste their time trying to figure him out. One thing was for certain - he never discussed his plans, or what his work was really about. He often shared information willingnly, but only as far as exchanges would get him more.
He truly seemed self-centered, but he stayed with the Dynnex for years. He rarely offered help to anyone, though, unless he was forced to.
Supernatural blue fires that were burning all the corpses. Anomylous, and not sure if it'll burn if I touch it.
Kuzu Anthem:
N-1 gives off a massive amount of energy. You suspect the iron geode itself is something akin to a catalyst or material. Once activated, it will change, and all the unseen energy will actuate like a mass-scale script. The true potential of this entity has yet to be observed. It's a science, and a magecraft, not of this world, both in scope and potency to get out of control if permitted to. You sense countless threads radiating out from it, like a spider in a vast web. It's hard to imagine such a thing can exist without being artificially engineered across immense periods of time.
To you this seems to be the heart of the web you felt earlier. The stone hearts floating here seem to connect it together in a complex, symbiotic manner.
Simon feels like if he were to dip his feet into the waters of Kuzu Anthem it would probably destroy him. However, he is aware due to Yoko's words earlier that Caralefexx and others have sleeping geodes in the quarry.
9/11/2024 -
Hoji - A name mentioned by Larry, he could be on the way to us. Probably an assassin.
The name is ominous. You recall it from shadow records on "unassigned" operatives. This probably meant either Op-SyS or an equivalent branch had operators in a region without any official designation. Usually they don't get involved. But it really just meant they were conducting scouting or assassination.
9/18/2024 - Run away from the Yoko nuke before we get trapped and slapped
Lady and Glasses Dude who were looking for us in the stasis lab
The woman sounded like a hard-boiled mercenary you know to service extremely dangerous assassination jobs. She shopped around Dynnex's rankings and was commissioned by Spec-SyS specifically, but ended up serving any branch that needed high-profile work done. She is regarded as using very specialized gear.
Name is Tanya
The man's voice sounded familiar to you. He is a high-up in Spec-SyS that sends commissions to other branches. He's probably the highest ranked person in the division in the sector.
Name is Karos
Clicking from the Comms and Toaster, coming from Sector 2
Your intense nerd senses tell you that this isn't interference. It's something far more dangerous. This is some kind of network poisoning or hacking attempt. Everything is picking up on it because of its broad range and massive scale. It's effectively spamming everything that can receive electronic data to some degree. Each and every click is slightly adjusting itself, as though adjusting the data its transferring, and piggybacking responses. This is a bruteforced, highly wasteful and yet ultimately reliable method to test if communications or electronic devices respond to attempts to interface.
The radios are simple enough and designed well enough they can't be hacked. However...
You suspect enough efforts could interfere with those with cybernetic enhancements, like you or Amalie.
RATS
The extremely sophisticated clockwork of the rat is mesmerizing to you. For a time, you almost feel lost in the vast maze of gears, wheels, pistons, valves, and servos - all tied to an intricately woven mass of muscles and ligaments. It's a perfect fusion of flesh and machine... an incredibly sophisticated construction. But, nonetheless, you can't find any kind of brain.
Nellec
A DYNNEX MAN WITH A FRAGMENT KNIFE THING.
Nellec is a famed name in old records. A walking cataclysm. It is said that any job he is sent to results in total destruction for both enemy and allied assets. A final solution.
9/24/2024 -
Additional notes to summarize the report. (These aren't in any order, despite being numbered)
Yabasha is a weird weeb that Simon would rather keep at arms-length despite how helpful he is in dealing with anomalies.
Not with the church as far as Simon can tell. Another party.
Makes blue fire that purges anomalous materials.
Kuzu Anthem
Worm fucker (Caralefexx) is a god damn worm. Yoko called it an observer. Simon seems to have taken an odd interest in finding this one's Geode with how he highlights it in the report. And finding more geodes in general.
The other geodes are going to have more espers and weird supernatural shit. Simon hates their existence, but seems determined to exploit them if chances arise.
There are some footnotes about how the geodes act as catalyst for energy manipulation, following a pre-defined script for how that energy is used.
Despite the supernatural nature, when observing the geode, they acted like an alien form of science, something not of this world but most certainly crafted for specific results. A science that is out of scope and potency than should be possible. Simon finds it hard to imagine such a thing can exist without being artificially engineered across an immense period of time.
Because of this, Simon believes there is an entity that has persisted on the sphere as long as the sphere has persisted through time. Or, at least, something that has lasted more than one timeline.
While they were fighting in Kuzu Anthem (Simon lovingly refers to it as mass hysteria, though gives it merit to being an anomalous irregularity in Flow.), he notes that there were a lot of mental presences watching them from the sidelines.
There are some footnotes using Yabasha's terminology to describe certain things. Simon lumps them all as psionic mental presences, even if Yabasha calls them Yokai.
The new Esper came from the geode after the mass hysteria/flow irregularity finished. Simon mentions how he planned to execute them after the fight ended, but had lost his focus in enhancing his combat prowess, and his fear of Yoko and Cat without that enhancement.
He also goes in detail on all the mutants that the geode spawned as they approached. He prefaces each description with something about how he'll sound like a lunatic, or suffering psychosis, but he in fact, wasn't.
Time Anomaly - Ji claims the entire sphere is still the original from another timeline.
He doesn't mention much of what Ji says besides this, besides Nellec.
Dynnex Shit
Simon reports about the various personnel they've learned about - Hoji, Daryl, Nellec, Tanya, Karos
Plasma Weaponry being deployed
Larry and Olyecht
These two seem to have their own schemes apart from the other Dynnex organizations. Olyecht is Overwatch for sector 2, it seems.
Larry working with Yabasha like real besties
Yoko's Detonation
Simon explains the goal and what apparently was the solution to her explosion, and emphasizes how it proved she was a fractal motion and solidified his original fear.
He also explains how he tried to offer another solution but was ignored due to Amalie's encouragement
He *also* explains how quickly he noped out of there. And kept running, until the detonation completed. As well as his intention to retrieve what he could and find any survivors once the dust settled.
...But also how he urged the others to move quickly, as the detonation was likely a massive ping to Dynnex, and more specifically, the Church.
He was right about Dynnex at least - two squads were dispatched, north and west of the explosion. But it seemed they were already in the area.
He also goes on about the network poisoning
How he originally thought it was Dynnex trying to brute-force their way into cybernetics
And how it quickly became obvious it was for the biomechanical rats, spider, and earwig that attacked them.
There's a quick mention about the fragment that Shamir has, and how Nellec also has one. And how occult they seem to be.
Alongside this, there's notes about the other gear they found and identified from the galacian ship.
Sleepy Ghost Spam Call
Question to the spam caller: Are you from our timeline?
Answer: Yes, and no.
Question: Did you have a hand in making the geodes?"
Answer: No.
By now, you've learned this place was called the Andolshire, and it shares history with both Galacians and Gracians.
In fact, the Andolshire was designed to navigate the galaxy. It has a locomotion system that the chaps in white have been trying to restore, but I'm afraid they are some years before completing their work.
What few people know is that the Andolshire has a second, unrelated locomotion system, called the VLR driver - Variable Latent Rendrak driver. Rendrak is an exotic particle that allowed the Andolshire to move not between locations in space but dimensions of space.
The VLR is still largely intact and its control mechanisms are still functional.
Some of Simons questions were satisfied, but also, he is skeptical of the whole thing. As such, he won't share it with anyone.
At best, he will bring up a working theory to Crow and Deinen about the subspace leylines acting as tracks for the Andolshire. Nothing about the VLR drive, though.
10/2/2024 - Malware Central
Strange. This is incomprehensible to any normal person. If you froze a frame of these things, it'd make no sense to anyone. But, as a nerd with some amount of toaster in your head, it seems to make sense to the latter. It's similar to a string of chords, or musical notes. The characters momentarily being displayed on the screen, when transcribed directly to machine code and then printed as a raw text, come out as an ascii pattern resembling a staff roll for music.
Simon copies it for about a minute as he watches.
To you, it seems the CAT detected low-level memory stack corruption. Something was attempting to rewrite it. There's no detectible access point or vulnerability.
10/6/2024 - post-IT clarity
E.S. 14
Amnestic memory roll: You remember bright green horns and hair. Whispers speak in the shadows, but it's a language you don't know. ... Was this how the Dynnex found you originally?
10/16/2024 - Post-post-IT Nut
Sims looking for more Geodes
According to distributions and general understandings of the geology of the area, there are iron geodes simialr to N1 and the cluster in the Quarry littered every few dozen kilometers across the station, if estimations are correct and consistent within the lower sectors that the sensors can't penetrate. Most of them are well buried and inaccessible normally, so one would assume that excavated areas may have exposed ones. Simulations suggest, given current knowledge, the eastern dock may have exposed geodes.
Simulations suggest that, if the Dynnex have excavated deeply enough, both the South and North docks have roughly 50% chances of eventually running into more geodes within a few kilometers from their landing zones.
Geological Survey - Mineral Composition/Breakdown for north quarry
To you, it seems the Dynnex were focused heavily on unearthing or discovering the presence of Gracian hardware buried in the stone. They were tracking chemical leaks, contamination, oxidation and trace elements of their hardware. Special notations of the unusual ferrite nodes were included as footnotes and assigned specific identifications. These odd mineral arrangements were intentionally assigned numerical designators, though it isn't clear why.
Sims Cont.
Strangely, the geode formations seem to follow a pattern that hints they manifested close to Gracian architecture. Amidst the buried rubble, their presence may indicate, or vis versa, the presence of buried station facilities.
As the Dynnex have been deoxidizing and refurbishing these areas, it stands to region areas they have excavated have the highest likelihood of having exposed more.
To you, it seems the north and south areas are predicted to have significant Gracian architecture. However, surface scans of the Luchador have revealed that much of these areas were extremely heavily damaged and are now occupied by largely Dynnex architecture. The east dock seems to lead to a distinctly underground/buried area, suggesting that a mix of architecture like exists. The system is also programmed to assume a large factory exists here, as hinted by Dynnex records, which would indicate that the presence of a power station, possibly atmospherics, fuel and storage, may also be present. Given the Dynnex were allegedly intending to secure this area, the system suspects large amounts of Gracian architecture are intact here, or have been refurbished, and likewise the eastern dock is most likely to be home to exposed geodes.
In addition to these findings, the relays have detected a large cavity separating the western industrial sectors from northern quadrants that were found by Cat on a Dynnex map, suggesting an enormous and exposed Gracian block is beneath the area currently controlled by drones in the west.
Old shit I found in logs:
Sermak is a highly accomplished neuroscience engineer and analyst. Obsidian is a black ops research group within Dynnex's regimes that isn't strictly militaristic, which is extremely rare. Their workings are tightly guarded secrets.

Instrument Twink who Steals Souls
As far as you could tell, something interacted with the Echo's life force at the moment of its death, and consumed it. The emerald light appears to be a side effect of whatever mechanism it used to do so. Anything that dies in the influence of this light will likely be drawn into it, akin to Soul Cage.
Amos:
Did not recognize him, so Simon assumed he was another shadow operative.
Mandril recognized him as the leader of Cyclops. They are a merc group that runs off merit and they all have advanced cybernetic eyes
10/30/2024
Wake up.
Put up on a little makeup
Why'd you leave your keys up on the wake up
But yeah, Dynnex are getting pushed out of the Eastern dock when we wake up.
11/24/2024 - Big Battle of Sermak's Bodacious Body
There was a big fight, but not much else happened story-wise in this session.
There was loot though
Skeletony Snipers and Skeletony have taken:
2 Echo SMGs
3 Dynnex Marine Rifles.
11/27/2024 - Post-battle Amalie napping. And also, Sermak Corpse diddling.
Investigation Roll for checking Sermak for Cybernetics:
Sermak is a high-grade official. You can tell this much because he has synthetic bio-carbon implants lining his skull and under his shoulders. These are non-military implants designed as both failsafes to prevent dissection and stasis. It's likely they contain liquid fuel charges and sedation injections. Some of them may also be related to electronics devices and authorization/identification.
Cloak Corridors:
Small crevices/tunnels that usually have hardware in them to mask their existence/make their entrances appear as though they don't exist/or are part of existing structures. Like hidden trap doors into secret passages.
Log mentions Proximity Mines being deployed.
ACU Hardware:
There's hardware here that looks like it could be small-scale operational AI storage used to feed command structures and queues from a main server. However, your gut tells you they don't store much useful data on their own, being disposable fodder. - SIMON POCKETS IT
You hook the data chips to your PDI. After some fiddling you manage to break into the fairly simple machine-code styled code blocks of the ACU databanks.
Upon doing so you learn a few different things. First of all, you're certain almost all command queuing for the drones is done through server architecture. This isn't adnormal for the Dynnex, but you might have expected more independent and on-scene programming due to the nature of their response operations. It means that, somewhere, the Dynnex probably have active management behind the drones. This could be due to any number of reasons, even security - if the Dynnex are concerned about hacking or digital interference they may rely on such servers. The servers are likely managed by a nerd.
You also learn that the code database is coupled with a randomized scrambling cypher. The drones follow a subroutine that supposedly gets updated daily to change radio signals and command interfacing. This is certainly a countermeasure against hacking and it isn't one that can be done on the spot, e.g. in response to your party's operations. This is long-term security at work. The Dynnex are concerned about digital security inside a sphere that is inhabited mostly by mutants, clergymen and animals.
Both of these mean that jamming countermeasures are unlikely to work against the drones over large distances. However, it also means if you terminated the server or server operators you could probably cripple their respective drones within the day.
Simon starts to translate the code for Crow. He makes two copies of it, one archived of the original code and one that he starts translating.
12/5/2024 - Sussy Amongussy Message in my Emailussy
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You notice there is a sus document here that was clearly not from the AI.
There is an unnamed document, whose text contents are simply, "Things are getting dangerous. Watch your backs, you dumbfucks."
Simon promptly deletes this document.
It seems like it was created about two hours prior to you waking up.
Your intense nerd ability allows you to sus out the suspicious activity among us. There was a long-distance, and highly precise, databurst sent from somewhere outside the ship that compromised a sensor network and allowed a momentary remote code execution, which was used to create the file specifically on your console once it registered active units.
The ash was once human flesh. It has been scoured by a supernatural flame. A latent energy lingers here, dormant. Its nature eludes the Identify spell, but you can sense its potency. The ash is the remnants of a vast catalyst. Flesh was its currency only in part. It's a residue every bit as much as it is a fuel.
12/18/2024 - Amalie and Cat team up to give Sermak an Ice pick Lobotomy
Vermillion Incident
You recall an old Dynnex bulletin you ran across warning about Confederate space in a particular north-western sector that had been completely annihilated by an industrial accident. It was highly irregular for Dynnex to refer to local incidents, no matter how severe, in bulletins unless they involved their operations, which this one, as far as you ever knew, did not.
Happened in the North-Western sector, sphere is in the North-Eastern sector
60 years ago
Though leylines run all across the galaxy, none seem particularly tending towards that area. (where the vermillion incident took place)
Subspace leylines are remaining static, and have been since recorded history on the ship.
Sermak
If he knows anything about the sphere's movement he doesn't seem very confident in it, enough to try to hide it, anyways.
He mentions the Nexus is a control center - Simon would think that this is where he could find information or controls for the Rendrak drive
He doesn't know shit about the Andolshire moving, or Rendrak, but someone in Dynnex does.

Xodia Technician
Radio, and a serial number: XR-4G-71101
You note that Obsidian seems to have no proper exterior. Cargo is loaded into a mechanized magazine that feeds inside. It's built like a fortress. The entire area is probably extremely heavily dampened. Magic, or otherwise, nothing seems like it would have an easy time entering or leaving.
The consoles flash an alert: PENDING AUTHORITY: Initialize Roster Program."
The logs and everything related seem to have been wiped. It's a personnel management system. It's been totally reset.
The marines are registered as G5-XM 89984 to 87.
These boxes read, "Non-inflammatory XGM-Type 2 Hydrocompliant Liquid Coolant"
There's 400 weight worth here. It's a liquid that keeps a cool temperature through extremely slow chemical decay. It has a shelf life of about 10 years.
She is a full cyborg. It seems more than likely she'd be monitored. An attendant is little more than a secretary but it makes sense she'd have access to at least mid-level security. If someone like that were to suddenly die, they'd likely want to know.
Dead Intern Console
The console appears to monitor the power infrastructure and its related security. A hacker could utilize it to control any non-colored door in the facility, opening, closing or even locking them at will.
It notes that the MAIN STORAGE is under a special Supervisor executive order to offer authority to the Attendant. There's a second high-security door, called E.S. SECURITY, which requires a Supervisor's keycard or biometric. It seems the attendant won't suffice.

The storage system is local. It's an independent body from any major infrastructure. Its security seems to be through the means it takes to reach this point to begin with. The modules themselves - the two huge cylinders in front of you - aren't linked to the computer, either. They have manual locks and releases. It seems the computer is manually updated by technicians or equivalents. Routine updates every day copy the data here to a main server.
Poseidon Group
Memories race through your head, but they're scattered. You recall seeing a trident logo. Where? What are these memories..? Did you have dealings with them in the past...?
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You know it's an archeology group. Non-military.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): One of the Dynnex's most closely guarded divisions.
You determine you could dismantle this control with a bit of time. As an isolated system, all of its related hardware is here, which includes basic circuitry and power transformers.
The climate control is a different story. It's connected to another, large network. You could dismantle it with time, but it'd probably be noticed.
Echochamber
Echochamber OS Alert + Echochamber Log 9796
A log here says 14 was placed into stasis and neurolinking has been discontinued
2/19/2025 - Cocaine Dealing with Larry
Poseidon is hiding shit in a cloak corridor in Sector 1. Should be around Gracian Ruins. No real way to detect them, so start feelin up them walls, boy.
Tenzen is an old name in Dynnex governing groups. You know he predates your own employment.
Consistent S-Class Rational Empathic Outburst
Empathic is something lower level and was mostly hypothetical. It would be akin almost to second sense, or the reasoning behind deja vu. Empathic hints at a more ambient sense of psychics, but something that because of this ambient nature is also more difficult to resist (and thus detect). Something like an aura, or a passive motion, for example the animation of the skeletons, might be considered empathic. Telepathy, or transcription scripts like comprehend languages, might also be seen as empathic. But in this particular instance the understanding seems to be a bit different. "Rational" might suggest a psychic ability that conserves its energy and distributes it. An "outburst" coupled with this might indicate an ability or event that is maintained for short periods of time. Like consistent beams of light or active currents on electric switches.
With all of these seemingly conflicting terms coupled it would appear that they identify this event as a highly disciplined and precise psychic event or series of close events.
Ergo, it would be equivalent to extremely high level spellcasting under a cloak of intentional suppression.
2/26/2025 - AGGA means many things, but the cat will apply it regardless
Amalie finally has her metric fuck-ton of coffee
Rendrak
Element that does not exist, the great lie
Rendrak Driver exists, but all the engineers are dead. Aparently they were deceived.
"God Particle"
3/5/2025 - SCORPION ARENA BE THERE OR BE IN A SQUARE
The scorpion is, in fact, attracted to flow/spellcasting. Left it at the dock with Dynnex. Teehee.
While you don't find any secret Larry packets, you do find a file called "Shenron Manifestion Theories & The Simon Says Brainstorm Board".
You find paragraphs of text loosely describing a TV sitcom series about yourself and various antics regarding your bonermen, all based on the captain "Simon Says", a play of words.
There's also text describing the possibilities of Shenron "being real because this place is insane enough so why not"
3/12/2025 - Ah yes, you are from the anomalyous materials research lab, yes, I recognize you.
Thorium Weaponry
Thorium-Injection warheads are shaped nuclear charges used throughout galactic warfare, especially against fortified worlds or shielded continents on worlds held by the Confederacy. They are typically deployed as multi-stage orbital missiles with a high velocity and armored components to withstand SDI armaments. Even small-scale warheads possess enough destructive force to render planets conventionally hostile to life through radiation for quite some years, despite the fast decay of the isotopes. Advanced terraforming is able to scrub such planets, but can't be performed during wartime.
Notably, the missiles are such a size that small ships, even corvettes, can't carry more than one, larger vessels like frigates or cruisers usually carry them as disassembled components and assemble them on-site.
Notably, these became the weapon of choice for any planet that wasn't protected enough by space forces but was hardened on the surface. There's hundreds of such cases in the last century.
The result, due to the stalemate, was that a broad border of worlds between the Federation and Confederacy were basically wastelands, and represented a sort of DMZ.
While the munitions weren't powerful enough to outright destroy planets, and thus considered "humane", much conflict of interest on long-term irradiation of systems was a debate point for civil rights and diplomatic arms for years.
Honk Shoo Nightmares
In your sleep, you see the vision of a young woman, with wings of red crimson flame, and a halo of jagged red blades. She stands, naked, adrift a black sea, surrounded by emerald-tinged breaks, almost like glassy fractures, in a never-ending cascade, like a hall of broken mirrors. In the briefest glimpse of this moment, you see yourself, working amidst a large dig site filled with black pyramid-like monoliths, Dynnex in black suits surrounding you as you unearth a bronze pyramid the size of a golfball from a rusty red crater.
The toaster doesn't respond to this - it seems to be some deeply seeded psychic feedback, or a memory of some nature that has been stirred.
Yoko's voice speaks to you, but you don't understand it. She sounds younger, and more coherent, though the words are a language you've never heard of before. You aren't sure if it's related to the memory of the pyramid.
You look up from the dig site, and a young woman with red eyes, a white suite and long white hair looks at you. You're speaking, but you don't know the words you're saying. She is clearly Op-SyS. She doesn't look entirely human to you.
One thing you do realize is...
This is only one such dig site you were a part of you no longer remember.
It seems that you are connected to Poseidon Group.
Bronze Pyramid Drawing attempt
draws a strange thing...
It lacks the details, but the pyramid was so complex on the surface it doesn't surprise you it's hard to replicate.
Baby Yoko Speech Pattern Recognition
Simon think he can suss out a few of the simpler words, but the way they flowed was weird... it sounded oddly aggressive to him.
Halo of red blades
Such a thing seemed very strange to you. Of course, the entire operation and the related experiences are strange, but this was strange by a margin of strange. This girl, she looked like Yoko, in some respects, but she didn't. Maybe if Yoko was younger, had red hair, and her eyes were emerald with yellow pupils... No, that doesn't quite add up. This light around her, it almost seemed to escape your senses. Like it wasn't quite real, and only manifested when you considered the moment. Was this real, or a pain-induced hallucination? Is this what drugs do to you? No wonder Leviyel is so... wrong.
Grene...
This name jogs your memory. You consider carefully. This was the woman whom gave you orders. Told you where to go, what to do, who to talk to. She oversaw dig sites like this. Her cyborg body betrayed her years, but she wasn't as old as some. Maybe a hundred-fifty at most. She was always calm, collected, and objective-oriented. Really, she made a good boss. She was always looking for things, but nothing she found interested her. Most of the objects and subjects in the digs she ended up shipping to other divisions or left where they were.
3/21/2025 - Cat-Based Lifeforms have been spotted, get ready with the air fryer
i got nothing
3/28/2025 - The Dwarf Bulborb is actually a Breadbug that has evolved to look like a young Bulborb, trying to join herds for protection.
SPIDERS IN THE BASEMENT
THANE
Civillian
Bioengineering specialist, basically a genius, and is essentially a machine. Replaced his entire body with machinery to pursue transhumanism. Incredibly gifted researcher. Successfully fused humans and machines in manners unthinkable. Synaptic linking.
Basically a tech priest
Creates the bionic units, on fourth generation of them
Bionic units probably run similar to Xodia's Five-Eye's system
Sector 4 had an overgrowth that was used as the foundation for the Five-Eyes system
4/2/2025 - Amalie Stress Response Toaster
The toaster senses something disturbing in the magic flow of the area. A distant warble that seemed to grow very slightly overnight. It's a broad-scale effect of some kind.
Toaster Drawing: It seems to be the toaster attempting to encapsulate the embodiment of your mental anguish.
Your magic senses tell you this connects to something above you, inside the sphere. But where? You don't see or sense anything else. It could be subspace related... but in a way you haven't seen before.
4/9/2025 - Hag Soup Witch w/ Extra Cheese
Wyllchya
Dryad
Has been here in the tree since after the Gracians and Galacians were gone.
She's seen other travelers who's done what we did, show up and ask questions then get the fuck outta dodge
4/3/2025 - Mushroom Mushroom
The mushroom is unusual. It's a natural construct in as natural as it can be. It seems to synthesize carbon dioxide in the air and bioluminescence. The spores are shed along flesh-like carpets to absorb any form of nutrients it can from the ground, which is generally dead aircurrent-wise and has the most foreign material. An unnatural energy, which you know to be Tsukuyomi's Red, influences them, though the mushrooms have no higher brain functions, so it mostly effects the pigments and growth rate.
5/14/2025 - THE PIT. THE ROT. THE PIT. THE ROT. THE PIT. SAKE!!!! A CAT PONDERS DIRTY NEEDLES WHILE HEAT EXHUASTION KICKS IN
Glowy Obelussy
You've seen this before. Well, something like it. The dig site... your lost memories. Where you first found... whatever it was that was scrubbed from your mind.
It feels warm
You recall fields of black sand, like ash, and the sounds of drills and excavation machinery. Grene's red eyes look at you expectantly. You found something back then...
5/21/2025 - Dusty ass food on the ground for Shamir to eat, specifically
The moon runes on the ground are familiar, probably from erased memories.
They oddly seem to make you feel at peace...
The arrangements seem oddly familiar. You feel like it might be related to the memories the Dynnex scoured from you.
Simon draws a blueprint of the strange etchings on the ground. (22 int roll)
Spooky Magic Workshop that's on FIRE
There is a latent magic in the air. It's a foreign magic, but its nature is not too distant. It reminds you of the Cat's scrying magic. But it's not really scrying. It's like... a macro-scale sensitivity net. What for, you ponder? To you it seems too large and too broad to act as something like a ward or early warning system. It's more like a distinct "awareness". You can only think of it as some kind of gravity or spacial sensory system. Something that can suss out the movement of large objects, like planets.
ACU - IT'S A FUCKIN KNIGHT ERRANT
You recall seeing these machines on Dynnex bulletins years ago. Seems they know about them and were inquiring for specific information from other branches. They're not as heavily armored as some machines but they can distribute enormous incendiary firepower in a medium range.
5/28/2025 - Leviyel wakes up for her shift at the rolling 1 factory, but gets fired for rolling too many 20s
Cascadeon
This is an unusual catalyst. It's clearly built and designed for very different magic than what you use, and thusly would be very challenging for you to use as-is without that knowledge. Even so, you can sense it has a significant capacity for storing energy. Currently it's holding an amount of what you presume to be converted thermal energy, like a battery. This could power a starship for some years in its current state. But accessible that energy incorectly could also harm the wielder. Making use of it requires some nature of ritual you aren't sure about. It may have other uses as well, such as powerful some nature of spellcraft.
Eastern Beeg Rock Crystal
The toaster seems quite concerned about the air around this place. It feels like it's filled with life.
6/11/2025 - White Woman Jumpscare
Helaena gets unthawed
Vati Snooping
For some reason, you can't sense any magic presence on the girl at all. It seems totally suppressed. It seems that Musa's very presence has established some kind of psychic locking mechanism on her.
6/18/2025 - WILL WE FIND SLEEP OR MORE TEETH?
MORE THANE
Thane basically did the same type of research as Simon - Cybernetics to unlock psionic potential, and surrogate bodies.
You dwell upon the subject. You feel like something is there. You worked with Thane... or for him. Or against him... something occurred back then. The subject has more depth to it than you can recall. How much of your memory was erased? Was it just one job? Or was it a very large job?
Thane and Grene are on the Xodia council
Thane attends basically every council, and Grene oversees it.
Terengar
Thane's equivalent to Obsidian - A floating fortress which houses research divisions and is part of the Xodia cluster
Xodia Cluster = Obsidian and other structures were basically orbiters of Xodia and formed a sort of a network or a city called a cluster
inSee at bottom of the page for map of a chunk of the Xodia Cluster
Observatory is a ground installation on the surface, along with UGF-92. The rest are flying fortresses in Sector 4's atmosphere. About the size of a continent.
Wandoven Mill
You recall Anden somewhat. He's a businessman, strict and formal, but shady. Whatever connections he has are well-hidden. Wandoven Mill is formally a pharmecutical company. But in Dynnex terms that means they touch on all kinds of things. More civic nature, including civic robotics such as factories and automation, programming, prosthetics and non-intrusive augmentation.
Grene Flashback
Grene:... If something cannot be remembered... is there any proof it existed at all? ... That's one of the questions we ask ourselves...
How long ago was it? It was some years ago, to be sure. But it was late into your tenure.
Grene:"This is the Flow. We've been researching it for many years. You've a natural talent for it. I believe, Mr. Khyber, you can help me, and I can help you. Today we're moving on to an old site of mine. But I'm not bringing you here to turn up stones and plates."
he lead you outside of that platform.
Glowing sigils danced across its surface, momentarily.
The two, heavily-armed soldiers at your side never said a word.
You recognize them, though.
Op-SyS guard dogs. The real deal. Any time they showed up in an op, nothing happened. Nothing wanted to happen. You'd seen them turn a pedestrian into brain pudding before, just because he got too close one time.
A dropship waited. Not just any. A standard-issue, but unmarked, gunship, flanked by ACU's.
Grene:"Today I am assigning you to Chancellor Thane."
"He's going to ask you to do any number of things. Book keeping. Monitoring. Reviewing material. I want you to treat his work as you would mine."
"I'm doing this because I want you to report back to me on his work. Not simply the subject material, but whatever it is he's doing."
Okay more flashback Footnotes
Grene was talking about Poseidon Group, how they reconstruct the past to understand it
Interrupted, and pulled away, because they had found Alien DNA that is millions of years old
She leads me into a structure, that was rebuilt by Dynnex
It's one from AW, where we fought Heracles and Su(?)
Leaves Simon with Thane, who puts him to work
Sorting Research documents, theoretical material, reported to Grene on the nature of his work
And eventually, something happens. Unknown as to why, the paths simply diverge.
6/25/2025 - Pizza branded Pizza Dust, for all your Pizza seasoning and cotton candy needs.
Mysterious Emails from Tony
Toaster started itching, received emails
You notice you've received an e-mail from an unknown sender. It reads, "Do you hunger for knowledge?"
After a time, you receive a reply. "I also desire knowledge."
After a time, you receive a reply. "In time, I will show you."
Dead/decapitated clones
Numbering isn't like Sector 1, must be from a different division.
Some shit between sessions:
UGF-92
You recall UGF-92 is an exploratory excavation under the shadow of Xodia. Thousands of such excavation digs are littered throughout the station evidently, but ones being officiated in records generally had something uncovered that prompted a higher division to take over. 92 was originally a mining site filled with mineral deposits and wreckage from Gracian hardware, but the miners found something in it that prompted an Op-SyS overtake of the operation. You suspect to this day there's still mining that goes on there, but there's likely to be restricted sectors that have been either sealed off or looted by Op-SyS.
7/16/2025 - Will the Cat Blend? In the blender? The blender? Designed specifically to Blend the Cat? And company? but, primarily the cat.
Mimir Emails:
(From ???): After a time, you receive another e-mail. "What is it you desire of this blood of the earth? Flesh? Water? Air? Fire?"
Simon emails back to the element cat: *Flesh, if you can do it in the image of a human and intelligent. Fire, otherwise."
You receive another e-mail. "Intelligence is subjective. The mutagen will be sufficient in capacity to function as a tool or organ. It can feed and grow. It can absorb knowledge and quantify theory. But it is only a mirage of logic."
It made a clone of Simon, oh god
From 𝓜𝓲𝓶𝓲𝓻): "The mutagen sample is a reflection cast across Contrast. It is a re-imagination, rather than a replication. Information has been translated, not copied. Knowledge has been re-assembled, not retained. Such as things are in the contrast domain."
"Find me a shell composed of what is called Adamantium, True Gold, or Moonsilver in your tongue. In exchange for a quantity of at least one hundred pounds of this material, I will offer to you an exchange of translated knowledge that can enhance your own ability to conjure these servants you possess."
Sato says that Adamantium can be highly valued as a catalyst core
7/30/2025 - OH GOD WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE, CAT DIED LAST WEEK, OH GODHELP
Asked about the black sand dig site from Simon's hazy memory, and if he knows anything that could relate to our situation
The black sand predates known human timespan. It's a residue of something. It was an alien material, something the Dynnex couldn't determine the origins of.
8/13/2025 - I MISSED WRITING NOTES FOR A FEW SESSIONS HAHA
Oh God I'm gonna copy/paste a lot of shit that I should shorthand
Thane:"... Gridgen's work is being transferred to Terengar. It has become too dangerous for such sensitive material to remain out in the open any longer."
Crab ♂ King (GM):Light crackles and flashes before your eyes.
You find yourself standing on a shielded exterior of a large, black satellite in the shadow of a red dwarf, with only open space to your back.
The robed man steps forward to a massive, unmarked blast door. Unalike other Dynnex structures, this one had no markings or evident interface systems.
Thane:"Op-SyS decomissioned this facility over a hundred years ago. Terengar won the bid to its facilities and we have used it since."
Crab ♂ King (GM):He turned to you as you approached, and raised his left hand to you.
In his palm, a small, robotic, spider-like device awaited.
Memories rushed back to you in this moment.
What was this? It was a form of a contract. The ultimate lawyer. An implant that ensured absolute secrecy and loyalty. The price for entering Gridgen was this.
A Neural Injection Drone, it implants itself into the base of the neck and attaches itself to major arteries and nerves via nanite vessels. If triggered, or if tampered with, it releases an injection of highly corrosive toxin that destroys everything it touches through molecular disassembly. It's quite capable of killing even cyborgs.
To you, it seemed that Thane was wary of Grene's interaction of your arrangements, but this was all part and parcel of the inner operations and by this point you had grown to accept such fetters in exchange for the enormous potential of what secrets laid within.
Crab ♂ King (GM):As the doors began to open, and the familiar and unpleasant memories of the nanites digging into your skin returned to you, you momentarily ponder what had happened between then and now.
It was clear in present day you harbored no such implant. Why was that? What had changed?
Save a few heavily-armored techs, the facility was largely abandoned and secured in the upper levels.
Thane lead you downwards, through armored halls filled with humming computers and sealed off chambers.
Thane:"... Op-SyS has forwarded us a unique specimen and asked us to conduct a memory graft on it, and pursue any leads we find."
"For this task they have imparted upon us one of their neuroguidance devices. It's new to us. I'm not certain how to proceed."
"Your research is very fascinating, mister Khyber. Though it's not of much use to me, one of my colleagues may be able to help you fill the gaps and determine a manner to finish this work order in a timely fashion."
Thane: "You will be working with Professor Adrian Cornelius. One of Terengar's most accomplished cyberneticists."
Professor Cornelius:"The Chancellor seems to think highly of you. So, we may as well begin immediately."
"Op-SyS has sent us a specimen from an unspecified worksite and has asked us to attempt a memory drafting. They seem to have reason to believe it possesses something important. Furthermore, they've asked us to investigate anything we find."
Crab ♂ King (GM):His face scowls somewhat.
Professor Cornelius:"Most troubling is that they've asked us to perform this as non-invasively as possible. They've handed us one of their neuroguidance platforms. I suppose this specimen must be one of a kind. We're to return it in a month."
𝕸𝖊𝖙𝖆𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖓:So long as the orbit does not change, things will remain the same, down to the most minute detail. As many branches emerge from this motion doing so, too, shall they be bound by this orbit.
A fractal motion denotes an unchanging and predictable outcome, but only so long as the orbit remains sacramental. Were the orbits to change, and all stellar bodies to cross paths, then none, not even the beholder, could peer into what shape those uncast shadows may take. Like interstellar eyes, we shall gaze beyond the impossible, and shed light upon that which cannot be, were we to stand between the eclipses."
I guess some takeaways:
Thane injected Simon with some nanites that would murk him if he tattled
Worked under Cornelius while working at Gridgen
AMALIE IS IN A TUBE - Child of Ash - Probably safe to assume there could be more there, but not clear.
Gridgen
10 years ago they stopped running a lot of traffic to Terengar from it
Likely cold storage
Built like a fortress but operated at a civic level
Lots of power and advanced cybernetics tools
8/27/2025 - Phoning In with Larry in the Toilet Bath
Betos
"Chancellor" of Codus
Betos is basically a space jew. Although he's officially a part of the Xodia cluster and typically defers to the common majority, it's well-known that Codus is a mediator only in official capacity and more or less functions as a means for the Dynnex to funnel money into the organization that is used to garner illicit goods from other factions like the Federation or Confederacy under fraud. Little is actually known about him, but he employs a lot of mercenaries to gather goods to sell - by force.
Phazon
Phazon is an ISN radiation weapon. An extremely power-intensive energy platform, it has very long range and is said to be able to defeat most defenses within one or two shots. It's classified as a weapon of mass destruction even on small systems and is one of the leading reasons that most navies fear the ISN. You heard a few years ago from one of your connections that the Federation navy was trying to develop competitive platforms and one was codenamed Proteus, but it wasn't built on Radiation or exotic particles like Phazon, and it had lower power requirements. You've never seen any prototypes or indication it left the drawing board, though.
Larry Talk
Big spike in flow activity in Sector 3, upward from Sector 4.
Dynnex didn't encounter the Primarch
"The council actually pushed him pretty hard on that. Well, Grene did. Seems she had a bone to pick about that data treaty and was asking what precisely he was looking for. Thane's very good at dodging these questions, though."
"Apparently Eryx gave him everything from operational recordings to medical records to interviews and personal logs."
"I don't know what he's looking for in that but it might have to do with what Olyehct told me. Anyways, his report didn't include any mention of his next plans."
"I suppose since Sector 2 isn't Xodia jurisdiction he doesn't intend to report anything about that operation to them."
"He mentions running into two aberrants - he basically described that Rei girl and the Fynn-Lya one that we saw. But they both escaped identification."
"Apparently, Rei killed all of his initial saboteurs that were in the Eidolon compound. We'd have run into them if she didn't."
"Anyways, Eryx mentions securing a 'number of archaeological artifacts'. Those are whatever neat nicknacks Operators find and get funneled to the Codus group for selling on the market. Probably old weapons, armor, whatever we didn't find."
"Apparently one of Xodia's requirements for their assistance was securing some of the structures. So that weird gateway we found that was warmed up is under Dynnex watch now."
"He had to blow up like a hundred or more ACU's and androids to push past that factory and penetrate into the area we got to. I guess the spider hole was ultimately the safer route."
Eryx probably has his hands tied by Xodia/ Xodia council for a bit
Grene is more interested in Thane's connection to Eryx than the mission (sounds about right)
Gridgen stuff below
Canary Ping
Set up to ping back if there's anything wrong every day from Gridgen to Terengar, daily at noon.
Gridgen commonly used for rehab from victims of Eidolon nonsense/nanite hives to do reconstructive surgery on those hit by Eidolon flow attacks
Gridgen is loaded with Croscaaum, and the station was one of the Cyber Witch's processor hubs. The station is a Giant Brain.
Croscaaum
A colorless, viscous fluid that forms the basis of highly advanced synthetic organic compounds within Dynnex engineering. Each drop of Croscaaum contains countless artificial DNA strands composed of fibrous nanostructures similar both to plant matter and brain tissue. These strands are effectively microprocessors and can be programmed remotely, but the process of doing so eludes reverse engineers to present day.
The basis of artificial life and one of the pillars of the faction's advantages over the modern world. Used for the Dynnex's advanced cloning and artificial growth systems, organic computers and hyperdrives. its fabrication and implementation secrets remain a mystery despite samples successfully being collected by the Federation.
Once programmed and installs, Croscaaum forms into chains of translucent strings visible even to the naked eye. Each fiber represents an operating system and every strand that composes that fiber is equivalent to a modern starship simulation core. Extremely compact and expensive to produce, most Dynnex hardware only possesses a few strands, but it is believed that major systems like their master cloning facilities have large structures.
Croscaaum has its drawbacks - it's believed to be extremely power hungry, which lead to the creation of alternative organic-reaction hybrid compounds, and both of those produces enormous amounts of heat. Croscaaum is resistant to decay and naturally regenerative, but the computer systems containing it are generally frail and if the strands are damaged by shock or impact the entire system will require a recalibration period to adapt and repair itself which can take minutes to hours depending on the scope of the product.
Gridgen is using a lot of processing power and energy, one way or another. Larry speculated it coul be E.S. 1, but believe that esper is stationed at Terengar itself.
Cyber Witches are amongst the more cult-like sects of the Dynnex. Loosely associated with Op-SyS, they are mundane Flow users often with cybernetic enhancements. As their name implies, it's a matriarchal cult with no clear leadership or goal, but you suspect they are close in general to the inner cabal of Flow research and practicioners. They existed in the Dynnex long before you did, but the fact you haven't run into any in this operation may indicate their numbers are rather small now.
9/3/2025 - Sleepy Fish Man Planks for the crowd
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): A whisper speaks to you. Though you recognize it - the stirring of the revelation of your moments in your youth - you can't entirely recall what it is.
(From 𝔐𝔢𝔱𝔞𝔱𝔯𝔬𝔫): Have you found the way home, traveler?
Simulation Catalyst
Vast organic computational systems like those at Gridgen are difficult to manage using pure hardware interfaces. A middleman, referred to as a Catalyst, acts as a mediator between the many Croscaaum networks, and is generally organic in nature itself but very simplified and functions like a translator. Even so, these components are actually more expensive, more difficult to produce and more valuable than the rest of the network, because translator mediums require a level of organic programming that is extremely non-trivial to do.
Metatron
Flashes past your eyes. You're bleeding. You're dying. Your body is in agony but the main is subsiding as necrosis takes hold. A cat is watching you. Its face is half machine. Orange eyes blaze at you. You hear a voice, but you don't understand it. This is ego death. You did die. It watched the entire process. Did you have a body prepared already? Where was this? The sound of paper and writing rushes past you. Lines of gold and circuit-like traces flush past your thoughts.
Yes. The Catalyst at Gridgen spoke to you. You learned things from it. Bizarre things. You never told anyone. It was too weird. Too strange. Weird and strange things get unwanted attention. And it was only whispers. Where did this cat come from?
"Gods of death can never die. "
Yet this wasn't the end of your journey at the Dynnex... you don't entirely understand the order of events...
You don't entirely know why the cat's name was Metatron. But the catalyst itself wasn't.
9/17/2025 - Magen Alive
Checked Larry Texts
You see a new message that says, "The temporary circle will be up in a couple hours. Remember, it only works once. A more permanent one is going to need materials I don't have spare at the moment and is probably a security risk. Also, watch out for fucking Spec-SyS. I don't think they are doing many patrols in Sector 1 at the moment but if they do they're packing nuke grenades."
9/27/2025 - Hyper Death God of Hyper Death and Cold Ass Boners
All-Seeing Eye symbol
You remember seeing this symbology at Gridgen, especially whenever you crossed paths with members of Cyber Witch cults.
They use it as a form or a stance for focusing Flow. It seemed dated and archaic to you, but it was ingrained into their belief system, as abstract as it was
10/15/2025 - Plants are scary
PG-D S1-LT 33 Docket
Lost Garden Crypt Overview
Galacian crypts, probably held founding council
Dynnex cleaned out most tombs, but not all. Left some for liquidation team.
Didn't thoroughly investigate the lower levels. There's some minor flow activity down there, though.
Astrolabe
Like the other astrolobes, this one was clearly built for use by mages. But the inscriptions make no sense to you, even as far as unique teleportation circle designs are concerned. There's an encryption to this, and it has some other functionality you can't suss out. You determine there's a machine in these that also responds to magic
Simon copies down the inscriptions (teleportation and alchemical)
Skeletons
The skeletons are warded against my magic
You feel that something has already warded these skeletons. The presence of Etraya is deeply seeded in them. It repels your magic.
10/23/2025 - Jordan is scarier
Little Billy
There are so many bills and williams your head starts to smoke. But the name Little Billy does ring a bell. A tradesman whom is part of a council that handles the upper workings of Codus Group. A private collector who surveys and appraises archaeological material. Also handles a PMC for civilian contractors on the side. Disgustingly rich. You always suspected he had deeper connections than his position suggested. In the context of Codus actually being a part of Xodia, you suspect he probably has Op-SyS connections.
Adamantium
"Ehh... if this was Yassudrylt... the answer is a definitive maybe. Eldi knows where it is. But the Serpent's shadows dwell in such places. Eldi not seen of anywhere in this world such a thing can be. But Eldi knows who Eldi can ask. This knowledge is dangerous, mind. Not just anyone knows this name."
Adamantium was born from the roots of Yggdrasil. The underkings worked with it and the sky kings coveted it. But it was notoriously difficult to forge. No mere smith could hope to shape it. None in Yulmidra could manage the task."
"In your world, I hear that Yggdrasil took root once more. So such a thing might have once been here. But 'here' is still so far from this place. Eldi don't think you could reach it anymore."
"Eldi have to find someone who has been to such a place before. Or somewhere close by. Or those whom have killed those that once were."
"Do you understand? To barter for this would be a price neither of us could afford."
1 pound of Adamantium is about the size of a tongue.
Temporary Teleportation Circle
You see a file, which contains a photograph of a napkin that has a basic recipe for a temporary teleportation circle. It seems to require some highly valuable inks made out of any manner of rare and expensive materials. But the necessary preparation is here.
10/29/2025 - Funny Amalie Dream of Nellec while I make Tea Leaves
Amalie's Dream
Simon died twice, not sure if this includes when Cat revived him.
One of his deaths was likely suicide from learning too much about Amalie's nature, or producing Nellec.
Amalie confirms the suicide, oh god its a 19 on the dice roll
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): A flash of memories fly through your mind.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You have something in your hand. A tetrahedron? No, it's a pyramid. It's covered in countless bizarre etchings. It's black, but it doesn't look like any stone or metal you've ever seen before.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You're hiding it. Green cylinders fly past you. Where are you going? You don't know. It's something of a panic. But you're calculated. Something guides you.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You enter a small room, midway through Gridgen, and open a sealed chamber.'
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You plunge the pyramid into a large, artificial brain, then seal the chamber and discreetly leave.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You started hearing the voice soon after that. But it was the same voice that drew you to do this to begin with.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You created Metatron.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): And during your attempt to withdraw from Gridgen after some incident, you knew the implant would kill you in turn.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): But you had prepared your contingencies...
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): Metatron showed you the way to hide your death, and continued operations. Surely, the Dynnex suspected. But they were too mystified to act.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): Is it still there.... in Gridgen? After all these years?
11/12/2025 - Gridgen Raiding Time, get your flasks out
Trying to access a console (hacking check)
The lockdown here seems to be pretty significant. These are basic systems without much exterior network access, and they're likely wiped of data. Even so, the OS still proves to be a pain in the ass to unlock, and you can't gain access here.
Cyber Witch 1
This looks like one of the many witches that came and went from Gridgen to pay homage to the location. There's likely more of them.
North Stairs Floor 1
Cyborg and Bionics Maintenance Station. No cyborgs here, but there's going to be a few of these stations around Gridgen.
The heavy cyborgs need have special needs that are supplied by the stations.
Deeper in, there's a coolant processing room. Reminds me that floor 2 is the station's power system.
Croscaaum
This appears to be Gridgen's operations center, though it has no authority below floor 2. You could disengage the operating system's Croscaaum here, if you wished. There's also a notice here you can access. You can also view the database and mission logging.. though they've been wiped clean. There's also a security center for Floor 1, though you can't control the units there. It tells you all Bionic units are currently on standby, but a recent unscheduled entry was logged.
Seems that the consoles can disengage them from the operating system, but actually cracking them open and collecting it will take manual work. There's 10 weight of Croscaaum and 50 gallons of cryofluid in every tank.
The operating system denotes that the main operative Croscaaum has been disengaged.
The logs now indicate an unscheduled series of faults in virtually every operating system event.
Floor 3
Simulation Room
This is the Croscaaum CPU chain. It's part of the two-stage component that handles the computations of the simulation drive. The cylinder in the ground weighs 400 and its likely entirely filled with Croscaaum. The smaller catalyst is in another room.
(From Crab ♂ King (GM)): You recall, Thane said that the CPU chain has special defenses if interfered with and he warned you never to touch it.
Cyber-Dolls in chambers around the CPU
Terengar's Cyber Dolls
They're androids build by Terengar for military function security. They have exceptional combat capability. Not as much as the new bionic units, but... the three of them could pose a threat to the group. Enough to strain your resources for sure, and easily kill anyone caught out. They have specialized weapons and equipment. Some of which you might even be able to retrieve.
Eastern Chamber: These appear to be "nanite therapy" stations specifically designed to service androids. Your best guess is this was designed for the Cyber Doll maintenance system. But they haven't been used in a long time, and are now offline.
Southern Hall Console:
It seems about 30 minutes ago the catalyst was uninstalled. This caused a slew of errors on an in-progress simulation job.
Seems the job was complex enough to warrant its usage. Which is weird - long-term jobs shouldn't be undertaken during a recall, right?
11/19/2025 - Gridgen Unleashing the Beasts from their Stew Pods
Cool Cats Party - Market at Xodia, less official than Codus
Kane
Kane is an Op-SyS mage. A very potent one. He's one of the ones Larry mentioned that has specialized nanites in his body that can conjure weapons. He's probably similar in strength to Larry if not moreso.
Angel Killer Type-2
The Angel Killer seems firmly intact and grounded, and its nanoconstruct looks sturdy as ever. He may really have succeeded in hybridization. But... as powerful and deadly as it seems, it doesn't really seem to possess the Flow capabilities of an Angel, judging by Jahiriel.
11/23/20252 - Angel Showdown while on Corndog's corpse
Lynnyr when she took damage from Sans (arcana)
It seems she is capable of absorbing most elemental energy. Much like Jahiriel, but Lynnyr's power seems to be much more low-level and psychic, meaning she doesn't just reduce it, she absorbs all of it. But there's surely a limit to how much she can store. If that limit is exceeded, it will likely harm her. Given how Gridgen and Cornelius' designs seemed to work, ice damage may be impossible for her to absorb - it may even be very effective against her. However, it's likely she can release the damage she has stored up, and reset her bank so to speak - as well as subjecting anyone unfortunate enough to be in her way to that stored energy.
Metatron when we went through the portal:
The wheel of Fate is turning.
Highlighted in this color = should probably poke Mesk outside of the game about
