Darick has opted for a wide variety of personalities, individuals who he finds entertaining in their own right in one way or another. Despite their differences, they all seem to live life by a similar standard to Darick: What's the point in living if you aren't trying to enjoy every part of it.
Currently, the main gambling entertainments are games that involve a bank, what goes into the game is what will come out. We are currently more like moderators than proper dealers, but Darick has made it clear that if any of the dealers want to join in with their own money, they are more than willing to take the prizes for themselves.
THE BART ENDER: Criccen Mugfiller
The Most Jovial person in the building, he used to be an adventurer but settled down with stories of his travels in his older age (45 years old, but 60 years old is the average lifespan of a Ratfolk), and leads the life of a barkeeper now.
ALIGNMENT: NEUTRAL GOOD
HUMAN GAMBLER 1 : Stolas D'Arby
First and foremost, Stolas loves gambling more than anything else, complimented by how entertained he gets by cheating. Darick was able to win a game against him despite the cheat. Of course, he only runs fair games until the cheat is exposed.
He compares social life with gambling; Full of liars and cheats. Darick seems to have hurt his pride in the bit, as he's lost the ironclad confidence of their first meeting, but he still seems to strive towards becoming the greatest gambler in the world.
Of course, Darick has told him to not cheat when he deals here, but old habits die hard...
ALIGNMENT: LAWFUL EVIL
MINOTAUR GAMBLER 1 : Kalsus the Whaler
Kalsus is a minotaur who prides himself on taking on the whales who come with their pockets already lined with gold. When dealing at other establishment, he would oftentimes lay down his own cash personally to raise the stakes.
His large and imposing build helps with this, scaring intentions out of some.
ALIGNMENT: LAWFUL NEUTRAL
HUMAN GAMBLER 2 : Gavin Royal
There's something compelling watching the highest highs and lowest lows people can express. Gavin's been accused to be a sadist in the past, but his main reason for dealing is to watch people reach new highs and lows.
He oftentimes coerces people to dig deeper and deeper holes, just to see how low they'll go before finally giving up. That dread and regret mounting on their faces is the one thing he lives for.
ALIGNMENT: NEUTRAL EVIL
DWARF GAMBLER 1: Okri Goldfoot
The most honest man in the building, which seems to be an unnatural match for his line of work. His charisma and drive to play games is enough to attract a crowd, and its rare to find someone that doesn't want to take their chances with him.
ALIGNMENT: NEUTRAL GOOD
HUMAN HOSTESS 1: Blaine the Beast
A former bandit that still uses the moniker that she earned, despite leaving that life behind. What even happened to the people who gave her that name...? Despite his prying, Darick wasn't able to get her to budge on enlightening him.
Abrasive but well-spoken, the main reason why she took Darick's offer was because of the crowd she thinks this place will attract. Maybe there's someone she's looking for...?
More impressive than anything is the friendly mask she can put on for customer service, despite the insults she flings at Darick when there's no customers around.
She has an express disdain for noblemen and their fancy words, but is happy to fake her way into their gold-lined pockets.
ALIGNMENT: CHAOTIC NEUTRAL
HUMAN HOSTESS 2: Sitre Jokaro
Darick ended up poaching Sitre after she lost another job working for the Achebe household. He found her friendly and accommodating, perfect for a Hostess.
She's learned on some mannerisms and expectations of nobility, though she would never think of carrying herself as one.
In a few ways, she's the opposite of Blaine, which ends up complimenting the two as fellow hostesses.
What exactly made the Achebe's ditch her, though?
