For the waterjet unit the challenge was to create a flatpack design in fusion 360 that could actually be cut out on the waterjet but it had to be a little complex. I thought up the puzzle idea almost immediately but I wasn't sure how to get started, I ended up sketching a box as a base and enlisted Nathan to come up with my dimensions, my box was 60mm by 50mm and I wanted 5 puzzle pieces on the bottom and four going up. We started by dividing 60 by 5 and got 12, that's our bottom length then the side was 50 divided by 4 which is 12.5, those are the base numbers of the puzzle pieces but I needed more dimensions to be able to make the parts fit into each other. For the sides we divided our bases by 2 and did a diameter of 2 for the male and female parts.
