Sustainability is a goal. Everyone wishes they could be stable. What I mean by this is, sustainability is a goal everyone has, everyone wants to be stable but no one is stable in all four ways, mentally, physically, economically and emotionally, not even the richest in the world. People can be stable economically and maybe socially but that doesn't mean they are mentally, almost everyone has something going on behind the scenes that most don't get to see, for example, just because someone looks to be emotionally and mentally stable doesn't always mean that they are, we as people are constantly hiding something from almost everyone else. We show everyone a façade, we get up, get dressed, go to work/school and most days look well put together and happy doing it, but what most don't see is they're struggling, with themselves and society around them.
My mom is my example, she got laid off during Covid and we started struggling, she was looking for jobs for a while and she found the one she's currently at now, she doesn't like it, the environment isn't for her but she works in it so that we can pay our bills and things but we're still behind on them, barely getting by, in the short term it's good to have our bills paid but in the long run we'll be suffering and she'll be suffering.
Industry 4.0 is a huge advancement of technology, it gives new meaning to computers, phones, AI and others.
I've seen a lot about AI recently and how popular it is and how much its advancing and where it can take us in the future.
I think AI would have the biggest effect on the future because it'll get to a point where everything will use it, it'll be worldwide, all phones will have it incorporated, apps will have it, all around the world AI would essentially rule us and be our teacher.
4.0 makes true sustainability possible by giving us more resources to achieve that goal, it gives us ever evolving technology that could help us financially and such, the AI could manage our bills for us, track our groceries, tell us what's best for us to eat today, it'll help us achieve that goal faster.
Mechatronics is combining different degrees to make people/the things we do more efficient.
Siemens are a mechatronics company that has many different branches all over the world and they have very diverse degrees.
I identify as more of an operator, I'd like to have the hands on experience and really know the ins and outs of the machine
Technicians have more of the coding/tech knowledge of the machine, they know the code and how to fix it, I'd encounter this role many times in my career because they're very helpful to get to know and talk to.
Engineers are the people who know what the operators are thinking and have worked with operators on many accounts and will challenge the operator with advancements to parts.
It's important to have diverse knowledge because you can work in any of the environments and communicate properly with each other to fix problems.
