Who is Keiko?
This is Keiko, Braybrook College's first ever wellbeing dog!
Some facts about Keiko:
She's a groodle (Golden retrieve X Poodle)
She was born on the 13/3/2021
She is very healthy
She is very playful
She's learning to be calm
Has a good temperament (Note: Temperament is referring to her behaviour and nature)
Still learning to socialise with other dogs
Why is Keiko here?
Keiko is here to be our school's well-being dog. Through an organisation called Dogs Connect, our school has been able to bring in Keiko.
The main reasons Keiko is here are to:
Support students' social and emotional needs
Increase school attendance
Increase people's confidence
Provide motivation
Strengthen community bonds
Keiko is also still her own individual. It's really important that everyone treats Keiko with respect. if she feels stressed out, not only will it make her feel bad but the whole community as well.
When approaching Keiko, please take into consideration of the 7 rules!
